Programmable. The MSD Digital Shift Light can be programmed from 100 to 15,900 rpm's by as little as 10 rpm increments to assure precise accurate shifts. A powerful digital controller inside the compact housing gives you the ability to program the rpm activation points, number of cylinders, LED and display brightness all through a easy-to-view LED panel and two programming buttons.

Application. The MSD Programmable Digital Shift Light can be installed on a single cylinder engine or up to 12-cylinders with a stock ignition or high-powered aftermarket systems.

    To start for as much as this shift light cost compared to others I was expecting a lot. When it arrived the first thing I noticed was that it is made of low grade plastic and felt very cheap. Once installed my fears about the plastic were confirmed. Although the light did not break the supplied mounting bracket snapped upon install.The light itself works as advertised and install was fairly painless. I really like how easy it is to change what rpm the light flashes and that you can program each gear independently of each other. I also really like that it gives a digital read out of the exact rpm of the engine at any time. It is far more accurate than the stock tachometer. So I still feel that it was overpriced for a shift light made from cheap plastic but, it does work as advertised. On a side note I used the switched hot wire and ground from the rear window defog switch as it was already fused and very close proximity to the light. I recommend using that location for anyone wanting to install this light.
