Smooth as butter....
I'll get straight to the point. I absolutely love these tires. The difference between these and the OEM provided Pirelli PZero Neros is night and day, for the better.
The first thing that you notice is the tread. It is unique and unlike any other tire tread I have seen before! These tires are worth it for looks alone.
Fortunately, they perform even better than they look. My first thought after driving away from where I had them mounted was: "these things are as smooth as butter!" Seriously! It made me realize just how bad of a ride it was (which I didn't think was that bad at the time) when I had my PZeros on. My excitement for these tires shot through the roof when I slammed the go-pedal while in second. I was expecting at least a little chirp, but nothing! These things hook like no other (not like a drag radial, but definitely not like any other "street" tire)!
The car just feels absolutely glued to the road now, in turns and all. That said, I do have a few suspension mods which may be helping with the traction, but these tires definitely added a lot of it! Launches that used to be a spin-fest with the PZeros are now smooth as can be!
I can't say much about wet traction, but from everything I've read (and by looking at the treads), I'm sure they will perform great if CA ever gets any rain.
The only caveat that I may have (if I have to have one) is that the tires are just a bit tight (something I also read before buying them). The 285s I have in the back are pretty close to perfect fitment, but the 255s are running just a bit stretched. Aside from that, these things are amazing, and can't wait to have some more fun with them!
If you have a daily driver that sees spirited driving/racing/hill carving, buy these now! You won't regret it...
