    Grab That Aggressive 2010 Look

    May 23, 2012

First off, these decals do exactly what the description claims they will do. They give your entire front a more 2010+ look which is exactly what I wanted to accomplish on my 2005 white GT. Once they are on they do a great job of blending in and they really grab those second looks from passers-by. They stick easily with the soapy mix and any air bubbles were easily squeegeed out. The bad news was that they were entirely too wide for my pillars. When I first received them, I went to put them on and was taken aback by how large they were. My pillars were roughly 2" across from the edge of the headlight to the edge of the grille. In contrast, each of these pillar decals were an easy 3"+ across, leaving WAY too much excess on either side of the pillar once they are put in place. To further complicate things, their really is not much room to "wrap" the decal around the sides without taking the headlights and grille off. I contacted AM and they said they thought I had maybe received some that were cut wrong and very promptly shipped me another set. However, these were the exact same size! I ended up being able to squeeze one side of the decal in between the pillar and headlight and then on the grille side I simply took a razor and cut them to the edge, removed the excess and sat the decals flush to the grille. This was a workable solution, but in my mind should not have o be done. AM may need to recheck the widths of these decals. Other than the sizing issue they look fantastic when they are on! Price is a bit too high in my opinion as well, and should be more around the $19.99 mark. In the end they do accomplish the job though! Thanks AM!

    Great look!

    August 14, 2014

These are one of those little things you add to your car and people can't quite figure out why your car looks so different from the other Mustangs. It sure makes a difference when added with the Black Billet Grille. The vinyl material is top quality. Looks as if it was painted once you smooth out the air bubbles. My one tip is to make sure and use a hair dryer on low heat. Not high heat. It will stretch and ruin the vinyl. The fit I would give an 8 out of 10. It is a little over-sized and I had to trim just a little. Having said that, I would rather it be too much than not enough. Very, very happy with this inexpensive mod!

    Great Product With Poor Instructions

    February 09, 2014

Great product, but needs a little help with the instructions. I read most of the reviews and agree that at first the decals look too big. In fact, if you look at the customer pictures there are two different decals. One doesn't wrap around the pillar edges and the other does. The newest decal wraps around the pillar edges and is bigger than the older style. After spending a few moments comparing the pillar and decal, I figured out what needed to be done. Two things are most important when installing the decal, using a soap/water mixture and a hair dryer. Starting on the driver's side pillar; clean the pillar including the edges along the headlight and grille. Removing the driver's side decal from the sheet, spray the back of the decal and the pillar with the soap/water mixture. Line up the decal along the bottom edge of the pillar and about 1/8" down from the top. Leave about 1/2" of decal overhanging along the right side edge of the pillar next to the headlight. The extra decal will wrap around the pillar later. Next, using the provided squeegee, remove the air and water from under the decal on the flat front face of the pillar. You should now have about 1/2" of decal overhanging on the right side and about 3/4" on the left with the top and bottom aligned as described above. Now use a hair dryer along both overhanging edges to work the decal on both sides of the pillar. Use your fingers to remove the air and water from under the decal as you work the decal around the edges. Take your time and be careful not to burn your hand. Within a few minutes the decal will form to the rounded edges and curves on the pillar. Repeat on the passenger side pillar.

Not much bang for your buck here

    April 19, 2013

This product it extremely expensive for not much Does not install well. Not forgiving at all. Tears very easily Is not sized correctly and cannot tuck into the sides of grille area without EXTREME caution and it will tear even in extremely warm temp with a hair dryer I could not get it to conform well

    • Response from AmericanMuscle

If you're using the soap and water solution during install, they shouldn't tear on you. I'm sorry you had these problems, but if you'd like to attempt another set, we will gladly have that shipped out for you. Please give our customer service a call and let us know!

    Easy install and great look!

    August 24, 2011

I bought these to put on a 2009 Candy Apple Red GT. They stuck right on with no issue and the fit was perfect. It really changed the look of the front. Mainly it makes the grille look a little wider like it goes straight over to the headlights. Great appearance modification for the cost.

    Great look

    June 24, 2013

These pillar blackouts look amazing, my blacked out front couldn't work without them. They are a bit of a pain to fit, however so if you have the stock grill have a razor blade handy for some trimming. Otherwise, great product!

    Nice easy improvement.

    March 22, 2013

A lot easier to line up when you remove the fascia. Also these appear large in your hand but that's because they should wrap around your pillars enough to hide the paint color around your head lights and grille. Great product and fast service. Thanks AM.
