Do i need to purchase new camber plates with the QA1 front struts?

bwells68 Year: 2009 Model: V6

  • No you don't need CC plates for these struts. They're a direct bolt-on upgrade so this would be all you'd need. It'd be a great idea to upgrade the rear shocks at the same time though to get the best performance from your suspension! Check out the matching shocks below.

Question Resolved

Would these work with a 2012 gt with gt 500 strut mounts?

Stompinsteve Year: 2012 Model: GT

Do these need coilover style springs? The picture suggests these struts do not have a perch for factory style springs, are these struts a direct drop like the text suggests? I want to run these with steeda sport springs and GT500 mounts on my 2011 3.7L.

Nightmare37 Year: 2011 Model: V6

  • Good question, and no it doesn't look like these will work with factory style springs. From what I've gathered on QA1's website, these are designed to be used with their caster camber plates and coil over spring kits. It does feature stock mounting locations for easy re-installation; minus the welded spring cup/perch required to use stock style springs. Not a direct drop replacement in light of that in my opinion.
