Blanchard-Ground. To overcome clutch snatch and/or chatter and to provide minimal run-out, Ram flywheels are Blanchard-ground, for a proper friction surface. This also ensures the flywheel is perfectly parallel to the mounting flange. In addition, Ram counter-bores their flywheels for button-head cap screws that secure the starter gear ring to the flywheel.
Protect Your Investment. When replacing your clutch you have two options: resurfacing your stock flywheel, or getting a new flywheel. Most times, a new flywheel is a better choice than resurfacing, as the flywheel will dictate how well your clutch will perform, as well as how long it will last.
SFI Certified. If you're using this flywheel in high performance or racing applications, SFI Certification is critical so you can run your Pony at the track or strip. And it's great for peace of mind even in a daily driver - at higher RPMs, stock cast flywheels have been known to explode.
