Street or Strip. Powergrip clutches are great for modified street/strip Mustangs. And if you are replacing your clutch it is also a good idea to replace your Clutch Cable and Quadrant at the same time to prolong the life of your new Clutch.
Superior Design. RAM Powergrip Mustang Clutch kits utilizes a unique blend of 900 and 300 series friction materials and increased clamp loads to give you the holding power needed for aggressive street driving, occasional drag strip use, and the all around performance you expect from your clutch system.
Application. The RAM Powergrip Clutch kits are the performance clutch for your street/strip Mustang. The Powergrip Mustang Clutch is designed for the 2007-2009 Shelby GT500 with the TR-6060 transmission. Some chatter will occur on takeoff.
Technical Note. The GT500 came with a dual disc clutch from the factory, this RAM single disc clutch requires the use of RAM's billet steel or a nodular iron (explosion resistant) flywheel for proper installation. The GT500's stock factory flywheel is not compatible.
