Does the front and rear bumper need to be removed? If I install these lights will I have to take-off the front and rear bumpers?

  • Neither bumper needs to be fully removed. For the rear lights, they simply pop out if you use a flathead screwdriver wrapped in a rag. If you don't feel comfortable with that, remove the 3 fasteners in the wheel well and the 2 pushpin fasteners on the bottom portion of the bumper. This will give you enough wiggle room to reach the back of the light housing. As for the front, remove the two fasteners in the wheel well and carefully pull the bumper away from the rest of the car. This will release several clips holding the bumper to the car. At this point you'll be able to reach in behind the light housing and replace the bulb.

    Not a good product

    July 30, 2012

I installed them yesterday and they all worked and looked great. Today two of them stopped working already. It was the side of the car that has been in the sun all afternoon while I was at work but that should not have had an affect on the lights. I would save your money and keep the stock lights. What a waist of money.

Yeah you're right, the sun didn't have anything to do with the bulbs. I'm sorry they were defective but we can definitely get you a replacement sent out. Give us a call at your earliest convenience and we can ship them out for you!

    Nice Look!

The rear LED's look nice, but with the tint I have on my side marker lights, you really can't tell any difference. The rear lights were easy to change. I still haven't replaced the front lights as they seem more complicated and I haven't had the time to change them out yet. Nice upgrade to LED's, but like I said, with the smoked tint, you really can't tell any difference.

    Easy Upgrade

    May 18, 2012

Product met expectations. Coupled with the smoked front markers and these Raxiom LED's really shine (white). They look incredible and are definitely brighter than the lousy stock bulbs. The installation is quite simple with just a few hand-tools. Just have to becareful when inserting them into the housing (sidemarker)...do not force them in and do not over-turn/tighten, otherwise they will easily snap in half. Worth the few bucks, in my opinion!

    Expensive but worth it

    July 16, 2012

I installed these in no time at all and they look amazing. Especially if you have clear side marker housings. My only complaint is that both of the back lights on the first day I installed them just stopped working. But AM sent me a whole other set the same day no problem. They are very expensive but if you have the money I would definitely suggest it. Raxiom's 2 year warranty is unbeatable.

    2014 Shelby

The front bulbs installed rather easily. I installed mine while I upgraded the fog lights to LEDs. They are a bit brighter, but not really noticeable from the casual observer. The rear bulbs were a huge pain to install. You are supposed to be able to pry forward on the rear lens with a screwdriver between the lens and the bumper cover to remove the assembly. Mine wouldn't budge and I didn't want to scratch the paint. I ended up removing some screws in the rear wheel well area and partially taking the rear bumper cover off to install them. The increased brightness isn't really noticeable to the casual observer. I would recommend led license plate bulbs, map lights, trunk light and fog lights for an upgrade, but these, not so much.

Well worth the money spent.Lights are a considerable amount brighter. Also perchased license plate LED conversion kit and this lihgts up the plate twice as much from weak stock bulbs.

    Not what i expected

    September 04, 2012

probably would look better if you got different housings(ie not amber in the front). these LED's done fill the side markers with light like i thought they would. but its nice to have LEDs instead of regular bulbs

    Front and Rear Marker Lights

    April 22, 2013

Rear lights were a snap. Just pop the cover off and swap out the bulbs. The front lights were another story. What worked for me is taking a few screws out of the front and bottom of the wheel well shroud so I can move the shroud enough to get my hand in there behind the bulb housing and remove it so I could change out the bulb. If it doesn't turn on rotate the bulb 180 and reinsert it. I have stock side marker covers and with the LED's they are a little brighter.

    LED marker lights

    February 08, 2013

The LED marker lights are definetly much brighter then the stock lights. The lights take some time to get to but they look good when it is done.

    Nice but a little complicated.

    October 08, 2014

The rear side markers are cake to install. Just pop them loose with a screwdriver and replace. Easy as that. The rear side LEDs are a little brighter than the incandescent, but not a lot due to the red lens housing. The front install was easy and hard. I only removed one bolt each and just stuck my and in there to remove the housing. The passenger was cake as the cord was just long enough to sneak out the plastic. The driver side one I paid dearly for only taking one bolt out. Had to install the driver side front one handed but I got it done. The front LEDs are 2x brighter and I like the look of them.
