    Good, But Could Be Great

I've had a similar experience to what Speedster33 had in his 1/28/14 review. I installed these LED's along with the included resistors in my Raxiom sequential tail light harness and everything went smoothly even though the instructions were for headlight installation. The sequentials work fine as long as the headlights or parking lights are not on, so I only get the sequential effect in the day time. At night the lights just pulse on and off very quickly when signaling. It's a shame because they look really cool with my smoked Coyote tail lights and I haven't heard back yet from the AMM crew and don't know how to fix it.

    Disappointed

The proper way to install the needed resistors is by soldering and I'm not comfortable with cutting into a perfectly good harness to install these resistors. The Raxiom Sequential Wiring harness is put together so well, but the wires that are need to be spliced into are not clearly marked. Why not charge a bit more for an actual harness with the resistors built in so we can just plug in one end of the resistor harness to the Sequential harness and the other to the light. A better installation guide on exact wires to cut as well as the proper placement of the resistors to the vehicle is needed. Perhaps some high temperature double sided adhesive.

    no instructions

Two points on these: no installation instructions come with them so point 1 - it matters which direction they are installed since they are diodes. Have a helper step on the brake lights or just engage the hazard flasher and then install the bulbs. If they don't light then remove and turn 180 degrees and reinstall. Point 2: before you even install them take some small needle nose pliers and bend the contact wire out a bit to insure good contact. As received they were pressed in so tightly that contact was intermittent even when installed correctly. Other than that these look great and are awesome with my previously installed sequentials! No load resistors required.

    LED taillight install

I installed these LED bulbs in my tail lights with no problems. The bulbs were shipped with 4 resistors, but I did not have to use them as the bulbs blinked normally. I was going to wait to install these when Raxiom took their sequential LED tail light kit off of back order, but after a couple of months of waiting, I decided to install these bulbs and then buy the sequential kit later as it works with the LED bulbs. So that is what I did. Now both the sequential kit and LED bulbs are in and I am overall pleased with the results. The LED bulbs should be white and NOT red. The tail lamp lens is red already and installing red LED's means that there is little or no change in brightness compared to the stock bulbs. That is disappointing. But other than that, I am pleased with the overall result.

    LED Tail light conversion kit

I purchased this product in hopes that my tail lights would light up brighter and last longer. That is exactly what they did! Install was a breeze unclipping the trunk cover. The hardest part was pulling out the old bulbs without breaking them. Overall i love the product and American Muscle does it right once again.

    Nice and bright

These LED's are a great addition to the Seq lights!!! They are real easy to install--just make sure you put them in correctly. It's easy to tell if they're in wrong; they won't light up. All you have to do is flip them around and you're good to go. The longest time to install is taking apart your trunk to get to the nuts on the taillight brackets. Installing the lights only takes about 30 seconds each. All I can say is AWESOME--AM does it again!!!!

Will Not Work with CDC Sequential Lights Harness

I bought these in hopes to improve my tail light advisability. Unfortunately, the bulbs are not brighter than the stock bulbs. The biggest disappointment is that they do not work well if you have CDC sequential light harnesses in your car; even with the wired in resistors it does not work well. You are better off ordering Raxion's wire harness and LED kit. The latest is that one of the LED bulbs failed only after 1 week of installing it. If you have a stock tail light harness, then I guess this kit is great...but if you have sequential, skip it unless you have raxion LED wire harness.

    Poor Quality

The LED's flickered on and off by just tapping it with your finger. Changed out one bulb for another thinking it was just a defective bub. Ended up changing out several bulbs with the same result. Driving with the ever present thought about whether I had tailed lights or not was not an option for me.

    Are not bright at all!

Purchased these led taillights hoping that they would make my lights brighter since i smoked my taillights. These lights should are as bright as my factory lights with my darker taillight appearance. Wish they would of be sold in white instead of red since the lens is already red.White would of definitely made a difference.

    Disappointed in these led bulbs

t was not made clear on the American Muscle website that these LED replacement bulbs require a supplemental retrofit of additonal parts to facilitate installation. I gave this product only a "fair" rating as I decided not to proceed with that additional work which included some drilling to the body. I may go ahead with that work at some future date, but for the time being I just purchased a new set of standard tailight bulbs to insure that my new Coyote darkended tailights were bright enough for road use. They are.
