    Oil Dipstick Handle Review

Excellent product. Very easy installation. Just punch out the roll pin from your stock oil dipstick handle, remove the stock yellow handle, and reuse the roll pin to intstall this new handle. Has a great appearance. The fit (new o-ring) is a bit tight in the dipstick tube, but after a few removal and installations of the dipstick, it works great. I'm very satisfied with this item.

    Oil dipstick up grade.

The problem with this product is the removal of the pin that holds both the old and new dipstick, it's very difficult to remove if not impossible.

    Dipstick connection

The pull came without any instructions on how to remove the pin holding the dipstick into the handle. There was not a pin included with the new pull.

Great product, Nice Finish, Overall Very Very Happy

This product looks great on the engine. I had this done in about 10 minutes and would like to share some install tips based on others comments. To remove roll pin from original dipstick, put dipstick in vice wrapped with a towel. Use a punch slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the roll pin and tap easily with hammer multiple times until just about out. Remove dipstick from vice and use pliers to compress roll pin (Note: opening in roll pin should be in same direction and opening in pliers) and pull out of dipstick. Place chrome dipstick handle only in vice wrapped in towel. Hold roll pin and compress with needle nose pliers and tap part way into chrome dipstick handle. Now insert dipstick and tap roll pin until you just feel it touch dipstick. Move dipstick back and forth slowly while easily tapping roll pin until you see the roll pin go through the dipstick. Continue tapping until flush. Use punch to recess the pin slightly and your finished. NOTE: The only down side of the chrome dipstick handle is because it is made of metal, it retains heat longer than the plastic. I would suggest using a rag to remove dipstick after running engine to protect your hands. But the chrome look is worth this little inconvenience.

This was the last upgrade in my wife's engine compartment. Was easy to install and removed the yellow dipstick handle that stuck ou like a sore thumb.

    Much nicer than stock

This handle is much nicer than the yellow handle (which tends to become yellow-black after servicing) and adds some nice detailing to the engine bay, The install is simple enough - just use a pick tool to push the pin on the factory dipstick a short distance and finish with some wire cutters to grab and slowly work the pin out. I used a small shop hammer to install the pin on the new handle - took about 5 minutes overall. The hard part is getting it to seat in the dipstick housing. After several attempts I destroyed the o-ring installed on the handle but was able to reuse the one on the factory handle. After a few twists (and I oiled the o-ring) it seated, Was concerned that it might unseat from vibration but so far so good, will continue checking. If the fitment would have matched its good looks I would have given it 5 stars overall.

    great quality

the chrome really adds to the engine bay and replaces that old and dirty dipstick handle from the factory, also like the T-Shape design of the handle so you can grab it a lot easier than the OEM handle
