Description
Improve Engine Performance. Unleash your V6 Mustang's hidden power with a SR Performance Throttle Body Spacer. The SR Performance throttle body spacer increases plenum volume to improve the low to mid range torque from your Mustang's stock 3.7L engine, with noticeable gains seen between 800 to 2500 RPM.

Better Fuel Economy. The SR Performance Throttle Body Spacer not only improves the performance of your Mustang, but with its unique “Spiral Bore” design it also improves fuel efficiency. The Spiral Bore "spins" the incoming air for improved atomization of the air fuel mixture for better combustion.

Billet Aluminum Construction. CNC machined from high quality billet aluminum the SR Performance Throttle Body Spacer includes all the necessary hardware required for a simple straightforward bolt-on installation.

Application. The SR Performance Throttle Body Spacer is specifically designed to fit the 2011-2016 3.7L V6 Mustangs with a factory throttle body installed. No tune required.

Will this fit with an aftermarket CAI? I have an Air raid cold air intake on my 2014 3.7, and I was wondering if this would fit, and if there would be any benefit of adding this? Thanks for your input!

    SR Throttle Body Spacer

I just put the spacer on today (01/19/14) and I can definitely feel an increased throttle response, which personally was what I was looking for. I do hear a small whistle when I let the horses open up which is pretty cool. I did notice that my car does idle a little lower too. I took it up on a highway minutes after I installed it and my car seems to coast and cruise easier which may be where the increased mileage may eventually come in to play. Overall, installation was simple. It's pretty straight forward, even without directions but it's still worth looking over.

A little improvement for a little money

I bought this part expecting a small bump in mpg more than any hp or torque gains and got just that. The changes in power weren't really noticeable, if any, but I have gained an increase of about 2 mpg city & 3 mpg highway so ultimately the part will pay for itself. There was another benefit to me that was unexpected. I have a CAI and Pype Bomb axle backs and adding the spacer took a lot of the drone out of the tone of the pipes. For $90, I feel it was a worthwhile investment

    Not completely worthless...

Other than smoothing out the 3.7L engine during tip-in and at idle, this product is lacking any real performance gain.

    Careful with Airaid Owners

Just a warning with Airaid owners it is a tight fit but it works. Overall not a lot of difference, but there is enough to make a small difference in acceleration. Little pricey for what you get, thinking of getting a new throttle body to go with it.

SR Performance TBS Install with an AIRAID Modular Intake Tube

I previously installed an AIRAID Modular Intake Tube (MIT) and because of its' rigidity was concerned about fit since the TB is going to be moved closer to the stock air box by the thickness of the TB spacer. All parts were present and in good condition. I reviewed the instructions. After removing the AIRAID MIT and stock TB the SR TBS was installed, a new gasket and the stock TB. Note you will need an 8 mm socket to remove the TB but a 10 mm to install the new longer bolts. Be careful not to over torque them. Installation of the AIRAID MIT was attempted but would not allow placement of the air box cover due to the added length from the TBS. So I removed the thickness of the TBS (5/8 inches) from the rubber connection on the air box side of the MIT (see pic.). This step was discussed with the AIRAID techs before the installation began. Initially I used an Exacto knife but found a heavy duty scissor to be better and safer way of cutting the reinforced rubber fitting from AIRAID. Now everything fit perfectly... Test drive results (1) subjectively. the off the line performance was noticeably improved, (2) there was no whistle during rapid acceleration or constant highway driving at 65 mph (3) the throttle response was improved in the normal driving range (under 3,000 RPM).

    Fits great, but that's all

After installing this, which took me less than 30 minutes, the only thing I noticed was the whistle it creates when stepping on the throttle. My car has already got a Bama tune on it, so my throttle response issues were already gone. I was expecting some kind of torque increase as was advertised, but there was no noticeable difference. Should've saved my money for the BBK throttle body.

More Torque for a few bucks

I didn't even remove the intake tube, but it would have been even easier if you did. Every thing was included to do the job. I noticed better response when at a dead stop and step on gas peddle. Don't see any gas mileage yet, but can't keep my foot out of the gas. Even noticed harder shift between gears. Was well worth it for 3.7L V-6

    extremely easy to install

Took me about 15 minutes to install part. I can feel a small difference in performance, and my gas mileage has increased a good 2 to 3 mpgs on the highway.

    Good product for the price.

Easy to install aside from the rubber tube replacement. I notice better throttle response. It's mild but better. Watching the fuel economy monitor on the car; I can see that I am definitely getting better mileage per gallon. So far my average is about 1.5 MPG more than I was getting prior; which to me is worth the cost.

    Worth the money! !

I gained a better throttle response and better gas mileage with this spacer. It's helping my mustang breath better. And the price was very responsible.
