For 2010, Ford completely redesigned the fifth generation Mustang by losing some extra body bulk and adding some sleek curves. Every panel on the 2010 Mustang has been changed, with the roof being the only exclusion. Bigger 17-inch to 19-inch wheels are now standard from last year’s standard 16-inch wheels. What was only available on the 2008 Bullitt, now comes standard on the 2010 Mustang GT which consists of the tower-to-tower chassis brace, polished-aluminum shift knob, and 3.5-inch exhaust tips. The Mustang GT also gets the Bullitt power with the three valve 4.6-liter which puts down a nice 315-horsepower. Other enhancements to the 2010 model includes an EasyFuel capless gas-fill system, AdvanceTrack electronic stability control, sound induction tubes that bring that mean V8 sound to the passenger compartment, and LED sequential tail lamps that resemble the ’65 Shelby and ’65 Thunderbird. Aftermarket Mustang models for this year include the 2010 Shelby GT500 which puts down a beastly 540 horses out of its 5.4-liter V8, and the Roush 427R is back with 435 RWHP, giving it a little more power than the Roush Stage 3.
