The legendary 5.0L V8 is back with 412 HP, 390 lb-ft of torque, and a compression ratio of 11:1. The Boss 302 is available with an impressive Hi-Po 302 that produces 444 HP thanks to upgraded intake and forged pistons. The Boss includes hi lift cams, oil cooler and adjustable rear shocks for optimum performance. The Boss 302 is also available in the Laguna Seca edition, with custom interior, deleted rear seat – along with an upgraded motor, suspension, and braking system. The most powerful Pony, the Shelby GT 500, has a whopping 550 HP thanks to a 5.4L 32V V8 pushing 510 lb-ft. of torque. All 2012 Mustangs feature twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT) technology to achieve a higher MPG rating. V6 models sport an aluminum block, while V8 models also received aluminum heads.
