Description
Gain Up to 12HP. If you have a forced induction setup in your Mustang GT but are still running a stock throttle body, you're choking your performance Pony where it matters most. Unlike your restrictive factory throttle body, a free-flowing BBK throttle body will let your engine breathe deeply for maximum power.

75MM Bore. Your stock throttle body is a restrictive 56mm, choking off airflow and keeping your Mustang from giving you all its got. This BBK throttle body features a generous, free flowing 75mm single bore design that is perfect for modified and forced induction applications.

CNC Machined Aluminum. BBK's throttle bodies are cast from high quality, lightweight 356 aluminum alloy that is finished using CNC machining to ensure a precision fit. They feature double-sealed bearings, o-ringed throttle shafts, and precision die-stamped linkages to ensure a long life and maximum performance for your Pony.

Bolt-On Installation. The BBK Throttle Body is designed for a straightforward installation and includes all necessary hardware. It is designed to reuse the factory throttle body gasket for an easy installation.

Application. This BBK 75mm Throttle Body is designed for the 1996 to 2004 Mustang GT with the 4.6L engine.

Technical Notes. This BBK throttle body is CARB certified (CARB EO Number: D-245-13) and 50 state legal. 70mm throttle body pictured. Recommended for heavily modified GT's only; mildly modded and stock GTs should choose the BBK 70mm throttle body instead.

This is a great upgrade! Combined with a CAI I can really hear my motor just sucking in cold dense air. 75mm is also a must if there is any forced induction in your Mustangs future.

Hey guys, I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and today I have two different throttle body options from BBK Performance. I’m taking a look at the 70 and 75mm throttle body for the 4.6L V8 found in all 96-04 Mustang GTs. BBK is one of those companies that lives and dies on Mustangs and late model EFI performance, and it shows with all their quality parts, including these throttle bodies. Now both of these options would be a huge upgrade over the ultra restrictive 56mm factory throttle body. Now depending on your setup either the 70 or 75mm throttle body might work out a little better for you, but that all depends on your mods. The 70mm version will be great for those of you with mild bolt-ons, you know, intakes, header, exhaust, those sorts of things. Now this would be a great complement to those mods, and free up any additional power being held back by an ultra restrictive factory throttle body. The larger 75mm version is geared towards more of a radical setup – big cams, nitrous, high compression or forced induction, that would need maximum airflow. Both of these throttle bodies are CNC’d from high quality aluminum alloy and feature beefed up components that will only add to the longevity and quality of these throttle bodies. Neither of these throttle bodies require a tune but it’s always recommended to make the most out of any additional mods. Installing these new throttle bodies is very straight forward and should only take you about an hour. All you have to do is remove the factory throttle body, transfer the TPS sensor over to the new BBK throttle body, using the included gasket. After that, reinstall the new BBK throttle body and you should be good to go. So if you're looking for more ways to help your 2 valve 4.6 breath a little easier, and you've already taken care of the basics, then you'll definitely want to check out these throttle bodies from BBK Performance.

Combined with a plenum makes good power on a stock motor. Since the install, the TB makes a whistle sound when you accelerate. Should buy before pulleys.

    Nice

Added this among other items to my 2004 Mustang GT and could definately tell a difference. People say do not purchase a 75mm tb unless you are Forced induction but, even being n/a...my car seemed to respond well to this mod.

    BBK RULES!!

It worked great everything fit like a glove. It took me 45 min to put it on with just a couple tools. The hardest part was the directions said to let the car run a little befor you take it for a drive and all you want to do is go try it out. If looking for a Throttle body get this one.

This throttle body helps my car breathe a whole lot better! You can hear the suction that this thing creates everytime you push the gas. I can even hear mine sucking in the air over my exhaust! This is a great buy, and I recommend it to everybody!

    75mm throttle body

Just purchased this BBK 75 mm throttle body and man I could not be more happy. The stock 57 mm tb was not letting all the cold air from the K&N I purchased prior, next is the plenum and spacer to complet the job. The sound it makes during acceleration puts a smile on my face every time, thanks AM.

    Overall Peformance Improved

I decided to buy this unit because I plan to go forced induction in the future. My car has all the bolt-ons and wanted to see if the throttle body will make any difference. I can say that it has in a positive way. Accelerating is much smoother and throttle response is very positive. I felt that I got more power out of the engine with the throttle body upgrade. The difference can be felt though out the power band as well as above 3000K rpms. Installation was a snap. A great bang for the buck piece.
