Description
Increase Horsepower And Torque. Bolt on extra horsepower and torque that you can feel throughout the entire RPM band with a set of BBK Long Tube Headers. These BBK Ceramic Long Tube Headers when combined with a matching shorty mid-pipe will improve your Mustangs exhaust flow increasing your pony's horsepower and torque.

Quality BBK Construction. These BBK Long Tube Headers are manufactured from 1-5/8" CNC mandrel bent tubing for unrestricted airflow and feature one piece, laser cut 3/8" header flanges for additional strength, leak-free performance and an OEM fit.

Silver Ceramic Coating. These Headers are completed in BBK's Polished Silver Ceramic Coating that not only looks great, but reduce under hood temperatures to help increase horsepower and extend the life of the headers. Ceramic Coated headers will long out last both chrome plated and polished headers.

Required Upgrade. A BBK off-road or catted shorty H or X pipe is required for installation of these Long Tube Headers. (see drop down option above).

Application. This pair of BBK Long Tube Headers are specifically designed to fit 1986-1993 manual Mustangs that are equipped with the 5.0L V8 engine, including the LX 5.0, GT and SVT Cobra models. Kit includes mounting hardware, gaskets, and instructions for an easy install.Please Note. These BBK long tube headers fit 5 speed manual transmissions only.

    Could not resist the draw of the long tubes!

    I have had long tubes in the past and had nightmares thinking of the install...problem solved and let the shop do it this time.

    Excellent Power Gains

    These headers are a great buy. Power gains were definitely noticeable. Not to hard to install. The drivers side goes in from the bottom with lifting engine. Passenger side, I had to unbolt the passenger side mount only and lift the engine a couple inches. The only thing I modified on the headers were the welds inside of the flanges which were a restriction. This only took an hour to do both with a grinder with metal burr bit. My suggestion would be to buy the copper gaskets and grade 8 locking bolts (or whatever they are called) as I have read that this gasket/bolt setup is stout and did not want to do this job twice. I only wish AM had these gaskets as I like to purchase all my stuff from them-wink wink AM ;).
