    Review & Install Video

So you just installed a new set of long tube headers or an aftermarket midpipe, and now your factory O2 sensor harness is a little too short. If that sounds like you, this O2 sensor extension kit is your solution. This kit for your ’86-’09 Mustang includes two harnesses that extend both your primary and secondary O2 sensor wires by 18 inches. That should be enough to bridge the gap between your factory O2 sensors and your factory harness. The great thing about this kit is that it’s completely plug and play, so there’s no need to hack up your factory harness in order to extend your wires. It’s a very straightforward install that should take you no more than a few minutes. If you’re pumped to install that new off-road x-pipe, or that new set of headers, only to find that your O2 sensors no longer fit, this kit will solve that problem easily without breaking the bank.

"Plug and play". When your modify your exhaust system, sometimes the stock O2 sensor harness just comes up too short to connect the O2 sensors, but this SR Performance harness extension kit will help bridge the gap.

Great for modified exhaust systems. If your stock wiring harness is too short to connect your existing O2 sensors to a new set of headers or a mid pipe, don't just leave the old wires dangling - because your car just won't pass inspection. Instead use a set of 18" O2 Sensor Extensions to make the connection a snap.

Application. This pair of SR Performance O2 Sensor Extensions is designed to fit on all 1986-2010 Mustang exhaust system configurations.

Please Note. The Extensions are intended for use to extend to upstream O2 Sensors; however, they can be used upstream or downstream if needed.  O2 Sensors are not included.

Technical Note. Removal of directional tabs on connector ends may be required for proper fitment on some applications.

I have an 08 GT w/ Kooks LT headers, Kooks catted H-pipe, Ford Racing Exhaust, Ford Racing Hot Rod Cams, Steeda CAI, and Dyno tune. My check engine light has been triggered since I had the car dynoed. The code is for the cats. I believe it is a false reading because the catts are high flow. The bama tune I had prior to getting it dynoed turned off specific functions of the computer to prevent this problem. Will these extensions keep the light off?

    • The SR Performance O2 Sensor Extension Kit is simply an extension so the harness will reach when the O2 sensors are relocated, such as with Long Tube headers, but this will do nothing for check engine lights..

      Quick installation

Had it installed in 15 minutes. Only thing to watch for with 04 mustangs is the fact that the right side o2 connection is hidden up by the trans. You have to fish that out but once you get that it’s a breeze.

      2003 v6

well i live in north carolina where we have stupid emission laws so i have to get these to pass my inspection but other than that if your running into the same problem they are an amazing buy i have a 2003 3.8 liter v6 with some visual mods and an aftermarket exhaust and planning on putting on longtube headers but these in my opinion are amazing purchase if you plan on putting headers on and your county or state has emission laws and inspection these are a good way to make sure you pass im about to get my headers done so hopefully will pass inspection

Had to relocate 02 sensors because of new BBK x-pipe. This is what you'll need if you have a 04 mustang gt. Easy hookup

Good but a bit long for shortys

I bought these for around 4 to 6 inches reach as my BBK shorty headers were a bit off on the 02 sensor plugs. Had them shortened to fit. These are more for long tube.

These were incorrect for my car

I purchased these putting all my information in for the correct vehicle V6 Mustang I put my long tube headers on then went to use the extensions I purchased and they would not fit for the front. They connected to the rear O2 sensors. But that's not what I needed so now I'm back at square one looking online for the Upstream O2 extensions..

      Doesn’t Fit

I got these to install on my 03 Cobra after I installed long tube headers. The extensions were long enough but the notches on the connectors did not line up right to connect to line going to the computer. American Muscle gave me a full refund without any hassle. There’s a lot of people that have had the same issue. These connectors need to be pulled off the shelf or made correctly. Do yourself a favor and buy the Bouch 23 inch long O2 sensors. They fit work perfectly, and they are not to long to where you’d have to zip tie them out of the way.

      O2 sensor extensions

These extensions did not fit the upstream O2 sensors (green sensors) on my 2001 v6 mustang as advertised. This car also has a blue and a purple downstream sensor. They did fit the blue sensor but the downstream sensors are easy to get to and don’t need the extensions.

      I can't recommend

I purchased these to make installation of headers easier. These don't always work. No O2 info reaching computer. I have purchased new O2 sensors to make sure it wasn't the sensor, no change. AM, find a better product.
