Does this grill delete the gt fog lights?? Hi I have a question I'm planning on purchasing a 2013 GT and I'm interested in installing the Boss Grill but my question is I don't want to delete my stock grill fog lights and I noticed that the panels that block them aren't attached to the grill itself so I wanted to know can I have this grill while still retaining the stock fog lights???

nomad Year: 2013 Model: GT

  • As this Boss grille ships, it will give you the Boss look and delete your stock GT fog lights. If you wanted to keep your factory fog lights and use this grille, you'll need to cut off a small tab with a razor or cutting wheel. Doing so will permanently prevent you from being able to use this grille as a fog light delete though. Once you install with the factory fogs, there's no turning back. You'll just want to be certain of which look you want before installing. Hope this helps!

Boss 302 Grille for 2014 GT

Just bought my 2014 GHIG GT and wanted to change out the stock grille as I've never been a fan of the design. I also did not want to do a whole lot of work for the install. Being a Ford part, the 302 Grille fits perfectly into the look I want. I'm not trying to emulate the Boss model, but just want to compliment the looks of my GT. The install was pretty easy. I did not go the long way around and pull the front bumper cover. I removed the radiator cover and was able to pop about half of the tabs holding the stock grille on the surround. I then grabbed the stock grille with my fingers and pulled forward with steadily increasing force until the grille popped out. Nothing scratched and nothing broken. Since I kept the stock fog lights, I removed the small tab at the bottom of each fog light opening. Scoring it with a sharp knife and using a pair of pilers to bend the tab resulted in a fairly clean break. One note on the emblem. It came attached to a black plastic piece with 2 studs. It looked like you needed to drill 2 holes in the center part of the grille to attach it but it just did not look right. None of the pictures I have seen of the emblem had this attachment. I was able to pull the emblem off of the plastic piece and used a little alcohol and adhesive promoter on the center part of the grille to attach it. Finally, just snap the new grille into place and you're done.

    Classic Grille for 2013 V6

Bought this grille in hopes of adding a more retro styling to my V6, especially since I wanted in-grille fog lights and I already had the tri-bar mustang badge around my car (Pony package). Granted, this grille isn't meant for a V6, so I searched for these parts individually, e.g. grille surround, fog light brackets, wiring harness, etc. The grille was instantly a hit, it made my car stand out from the rest of the usual GT grilles and V6s. I absolutely love it, and it's also OEM, so it's good quality. Very happy with this addition for my daily driver. #mustangramona #ramonathemustang

    Easy install

Installed grille with help from a body shop. Removed bolts along top of bumper cover, then gently pulled forward to access fog lights and harness disconnect. Lifted grille tabs from rear and removed grille. Prior to installation of boss grille, I made a template of the covers and made wire mesh units that I inserted and secured with epoxy. Looks awesome! Touched up with duplicolor trim spray paint.

Not too bad for a first time project

I had no experience doing this type of install, but I followed some online instructions and knocked it out in about two-and-a-half hours. I thought about taking the shortcut and not removing the front bumper cover, but I decided to go ahead and do what most people were recommending: Take the bumper cover off. Didn't really have any problems, but I did not like the plastic fasteners that hold the radiator cover in place (they aren't very durable--I would recommend buying some extras to use in case you have to destroy one when removing the bumper cover). I did keep my fog lights, so I had to use my Dremel to shave off the retaining tab on the grille. I am glad I installed the grille because I don't see many out there, and it's different than the standard Pony.

    Classic Styling, Easy Install!

I bought the Boss 302 grille to give my black 2014 GT a bit of a classic, 1969 Mustang inspired (foglights tribar emplem) styling. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the end result. The install was pretty easy and it took me less than 30 minutes. I did not remove the radiator cover and just carefully pulled the stock grille. The only drawback is the relatively high price, but hey, I consider any penny I invest in my pony to be money well spent.
