Better Than New

These Raxioms look better than the factory new headlights with a brighter finish all the way around. Now the front end looks new again. It took less than 30 minutes to install both.

Q & A (1 Questions, 5 Answers) Ask a Question

Stock Chrome vs Stock Black Housing? *This is more of an "opinion" question* I have a red 99 v6. The factory headlights are in OK condition but I want to replace them because my HID's just went out and now my car feels boring again. I know these are completely different because the bulb isnt changing just the housing, but I'm sick and tired of fussing with HID's and want something new. What would look better, the chrome or black? I'm leaning towards black because I have black rims, black shorty antenna, black interior and black decklid with black stripes and decals. Would that be an overboard of black though? Thanks!

  • your thinking in the right direction, i'd go with black. to add chrome now wouldn't look good with all the other black stuff you have now. good luck, pappy

clear / chrome replacement headlight lenses for my 2000 Mustang.

    September 09, 2010

Awesome, Fantastic and more than I expected. The "how to" video was super and delivery was fast. I can hardly wait to order the sequential tail light kit. I used to work in auto repair but that was 35 years ago and these lenses and the install video were so sweet that it took me less than an hour to have them in. Thank you American Muscle!

    Poor quality product.

    September 22, 2011

As I wrote the sales department these were difficult to fit and the bulb socket broke taking off the bulb shield. Overall not the quality I expected and it is most likely a made-in-China part that is over-hyped and over-priced. I will point out I have over fifty years of twisting wrenches and although I don't care for modern mechanics a headlight module is well within my skill set. I do give American Muscle credit for allowing even bad reviews to be posted.

Look great - but started to yellow and "peel" in under a year

    July 15, 2011

The headlights really do look great and the styling is nice. My only problem with them is that the passenger side headlight started to yellow and have some kind of a "peel" of the top coat on the plastic when being parked outside just for a couple months (usually is garaged)

Made my car look like new

    December 01, 2010

The plastic on my original headlights was crazed and looked like ugly. The new headlights look and work great, and were easy to install. I goofed on my first light, breaking the plastic assembly on the back. American Muscle replaced the headlight at no cost, and after talking to them about my mistake, I was able to install them. I just had to lean heavily against these after market lights in order to get them in position for the metal retainer to slide into position. I am happy with the lights and more than happy with the service I received from American Muscle. They stood by their product even in the face of a customer who is a klutz around cars.

    My new head turners

    January 01, 2012

A night and day difference over the worn out stock lights. Install was probably the easiest mod I've ever done. After install it was like i had my high beams on the old lights but they were just on, then I bought the sylvania bulbs and they light up both sides of the interstate. Made the front end of the car pop. Just be careful with the little clips that hold the bulb wires. Broke one on both sides but was an easy fix with some super glue, if you can find them. Definite buy.

    Looks amazing but...

    September 28, 2011

Doesn't fit very well. Tried sealing these headlights 3 times now, one would condensate, I'd reseal it and let it dry. Took my Sonic Blue to the car wash the next day and the other headlight would condensate. It's ridiculous. I think there was something wrong with the actual headlight...and there were scuffs on the inside of the lens :/ Well, these are great replacements for UV damaged headlights, but I wouldn't use them in rainy weather.
