Hey I’m Justin with, and I’m here with a couple of different ways to trick out the interior of any Mustang, thanks to these white face reverse glow gauge inserts and matching white face A/C gauge inserts, fitting all 94-04 Mustangs. These white face gauge inserts, are reminiscent of the white gauges found in the 94 and up Cobras. Of course the styling is a little more radical especially at night when the reverse glow feature comes into play. The term reverse glow refers to the actual face of the gauge themselves, as you can see here during the day the gauges are bright white, but at night or whenever your headlights are on, the white part remains dark but the numbers and letters glow in a very cool and easily readable blue light. You may think these inserts are solely for the Mustang owner out there who enjoys a more aftermarket type of look, but that’s not always the case, in fact, many of our customers have told us how much they enjoy these white face gauges, because they’re easier to read during the day, but if you’re having difficulty seeing that red needle on the black background, like in your factory cluster, then these inserts may be for you. To match the look of these overlays we’re also featuring this matching white A/C control insert as well, available separately. A few nice things about this piece, for one, it’s easy on your wallet, it’s also a piece of cake to install in about 15 minutes, and it really completes the look when compared to these white face gauge overlays. In addition to the overlays you’ll find a dimmer switch and 12V power source needed for the install. Speaking of the install, you’ll want to make sure you have a T-15 torx tool, some basic hand tools, and either a soldering iron or quick splice connectors or bite connectors, just depending on how you prefer to wire everything up. Since you will have to disassemble your cluster slightly and do some minor wiring, we’re going to call this one an hour from start to finish. These white face glow gauge and A/C inserts offer some very unique styling at night and improved visibility during the day for a price that’s sure to fit into anyone’s budget, be sure to check them out right here at

is it hard to install???? Does it matter that my radio is directly connected, meaning I have to turn it off manually....because one of the reviews I read said you had to connect it to the radio for them to please answer my question.....

  • u only connect them to the radio if u cant find the main hot wire for ur lights. they are different colors but it is always the fattest wire i hooked mine up to the head light switch and i love it

Does the reverse glow work well if u purchase LED lights for the gauge cluster?

  • Yes. I have LED's behind mine, they help illuminate the needle's, that's all.

Hey guys, I don't like the idea of a separate dimmer so, I want to wire this unit from my stock dimmer in the stock headlight switch. I'm assuming that the stock dimmer voltage starts at 12V. Am I correct? Therefore, do I still need to use the voltage inverter? What voltage is it inverting to? I want to wire it: Stock dimmer switch-through the voltage inverter-to the gauge inserts-to ground. Or, can I go: stock dimmer-through the gauge inserts to ground? $44 bucks is a lot for some inserts when I can get the same on eBay for $25 so, please don't give me the ol' "we don't recommend" line! I'm not keen on adding some awful dimmer switch to my dash!

  • If you plan to do some custom wiring, I suggest taking a voltmeter to see exactly what voltage you are getting now, and how much it drops throughout the circuit. It may not be 12V exactly. Be weary of how much load you are adding to that circuit so that components don't burn out.

    Reverse Glow... a GO!!

I bought this set of gauges for my 96 GT. It was a snap to install, just spliced into power source from radio (so gauges could be on anytime the keys are in). Love the look, adds that Cobra look. Plus, the blue lettering is SWEET. Has a glow that matches the stock color, but leaves people wondering that something is different. Very easy to read and can be dimmed or brightened via a dimmer switch provided. I highly suggest this kit because you dont have to pull the needles, so your gauges dont get screwed up. Great price and awesome product, what else is there to say?!

    Cool glow

I bought these Gauges for my 96 Gt convertible, my brother and I spent less than 30 minutes to install. The directions are specific and easy to understand, the only challenge we had was the color of the power wire was different in the headlight switch housing than suggested, but a simple volt meter and it was easy. The end result is a Ultra Performance look that makes you want to drive fast...Good Luck and have Fun!

    Love these gauges

I had an incident almost identical to Nick M. But anywho, I just installed the new ones today and they work like a charm! I even drilled a hold in my plastic panel that surrounds the headlight knob and flush mounted the dimmer knob in it. Looks great! Thanks AM!!!

these gauges are really great. and they look great. hade a few problems though with insalation. the thing that messed me up was that i took off the needles for the speedomiter and what not and it through everything off. when i started the car my RPM would be idoling at 4000 when it should be below 1000. and when i turn on the car my speedomiter jumped to 40 MPH. But after a few tweaks i was able to get every thing back to normal. over all its a great product and would recomend them to anyone who wants to give there pony a better look.

    Very Bright!

This is a great product if your looking to upgrade your stock black gauges, very bright and eye catching, I get compliments every time someone sees them. Although the installation took me all afternoon, it would have be much faster if I didn't have OCD. I cleaned the whole dashboard and interior parts so it the installation took longer. However for the product itself is pretty easy to install with the instructions, but I made a mod myself as to cutting out the dimmer and just have control of lighting by the headlight knob. In the end they looked great and fit perfect.

    Reasonably priced upgrade, minor flaws

Finished product looks great. Mine must have been made on Monday morning or Friday afternoon. Would have taken 1 hour to install but needed to do it 3 times in 3 hours. After 1st install, found I had to lift the needle assembly up the the shaft on the temp gauage as there was enough friction between the OEM face and this one where it would not move. The instructions had wrong color wire for switched power, still used the center wire in the connection but it is grey. After 2nd install, found that the dimmer knob switch did not work properly (on or off, no dimming), just removed it from the wiring loop, but already drilled the hole in the dash for it:(. The wiring connection from the supplied harness to the left side face for the temp and gas gauges had a loose connection. Used electrical tape to secure it in position, hope it stays togther. After 3rd install it works.

Installed the gauges on my 97 GT and they didnt work. Thought it was my handy work, but after a few hours I realized that it was a bad switch. I bypassed the switch and they worked. These are the coolest looking gauges on the block. is the best when it comes to shipping.

White Face Reverse Glow Gauge Insert (96-98 GT)

Gauge insert looks great. Had some trouble with the gauge insert for the temp and gas side. I had to remove the original (black) gauge to make them fit. Also had some trouble with the tach needle getting stuck. Other then that gauges look and light up great.

    Easy mod, great looking!

I had bought a gauge package from another vendor and even though it said it fit 98 cars it didn't have the hole for the peg on the left of the oil pressure gauge and it didn't have a dimmer switch. Bought the American Muscle package - fit perfectly, easy to install, and looks fantastic!

    White face glow gauges

Love the look of the gauges during the day and at night. This product is definitely worth the money. Install was not to bad. The hardest part was getting it over the needles on the oil pressure and amp gauges. Had to pull the needles up just a little bit to make everything work correctly but only on the two that I mentioned. Other than that great product and it looks amazing.

looks super cool big attention getter. but the instructions say big grey wire is power but according to the manual that i have the power is a brown wire for the 96 so if u have a 96 remember that. i highly recommend finding a place with the 3 way butt connectors seeing i couldnt find any i had to teach myself how to solder lol

Looks good but cheap and broken

these look great at first and installed in no time. however when i installed the dimmer knob the lights would go on and off when the knob was bumped. i re checked my wiring and nothing was bad, just the cheap dimmer itself when you hold the wires a certain way the lights go off and on. dont waste your time on these, not worth it.

Easy install. Looks great during the day and night. Had to pull needles to correct them. They are super bright during the night so you might want to turn them down a bit. Afterwards, worth it.

Great look but a little off on the temperature/fuel gauge side

I installed these gauges in about an hour, maybe 1.5 because i replaced the headlight switch at the same time. I had a few problems on the fuel/temp side. Also, it was tricky getting the middle section on. The top left of the middle section terminal connector hangs over and forces the fuel/temp gauge out a little which causes the temp gauge to rub against the back. Guessing glue would help but shouldn't be needed imo. Overall they look great but it looks a little off on the cut. I would have to look at it closely to tell though. Not as easy of an install because you have to press really hard to get them past the needle base. I would recommend they cut them a little bigger on the inside holes to help fix this. I should have just pulled my needles like I had to do with my Stealth. All in all it's a decent price and looks great as long as your not looking for inperfections like me.
