    Ford Racing Clutch

    Bought this as a replacement to the original clutch with 165,000 miles on it. With the Ford Racing Clutch, the pedal effort and clutch action is far better than the original. Great price too. More than $150.00 less than in town. Went for the free shipping which took 6 days to get to the west coast. A couple of days longer than I thought, but hey it was free. Had a few questions before I ordered. I called up and the person on the phone was very helpful. Bottom line, a great product at a great price.

    Advice to newbies like me

    I am only just now starting to upgrade my 01 GT daily driver. I was hearing what sounded like loose belt when the clutch wasn't engaged, had a lot of shudder when in lower gears, and my pedal was stiff enough to turn my leg to jelly in stop and go traffic. It was time to replace the clutch. I purchased this clutch, which comes with the Ford Racing Throwout Bearing (this bearing was the source of the noise I heard when the clutch wasn't engaged). I also purchased the Ford Racing Pilot Bearing. You should ABSOLUTELY do this. The clutch is off anyway, so replace whatever you can while it's off. I had this done as a shop install so the flywheel could be resurfaced. If you're not going to replace your flywheel, at least get it resurfaced when you replace your clutch. The clutch itself is wonderful. Engages quick, solid shifts, and the pedal is MUCH easier on the leg. I feel like the car wants to jump from the stoplight and take off. Really good investment! Shipping was super fast and the customer services was as good as everyone here has described. I'll be using American Muscle for the many upgrades I have planned for my stang!

    This is a great upgrade for anyone with a Fox-era Mustang!

    This is my second FRRP clutch. The first lasted longer (8 years!) than anyone expected- even with trips to the dragstrip, as well as being an almost-daily driver. It was a no-brainer when I needed to install another. There is no leg fatigue as I've heard about from people who have other performance clutches. I am more than satisfied with this product and highly recommend it to anyone!

    good clutch

    clutch feels nice, good stock feel! Clutch kit does come with throw out bearing which is not listed, but buying throw out bearing separate is not a bad idea because the one with kit was not the best looking

    this clutch is excellent, easy to install

    The clutch works like a champ! It bites like a hungry t-Rex! The petal is easier to depress which makes it much easier on your leg in stop and go traffic. I installed it on my 89 mustang lx 5.0 with the t-5 transmission. The only negative thing I have to say is that it did not come with the allignment tool, luckily a friend had one for it

    good factory replacement

    This clutch set works great and has a very factory feel to it with no "slop" in the pedal and a slightly higher "grab" point when installed then the factory set

    FRPP made for my Cobra

    I have only installed one clutch in my life so I was nervous because I love my Cobra and only want the best parts for it. FRPP clutch was made for my car. I added all FRPP products to my clutch kit (flywheel, bolts, pilot and throw out bearings, firewall clutch cable adjuster and clutch cable) to make sure it all works together as a matched set of parts. It could not have gone any better on the install. I am still 100 miles away from bedding in new clutch but the grip is smooth and firm but the best part for me is the pedal feels like BUTTER!! Incredibly smooth! This is another reason why I buy my parts from AM. It really doesn't get better for my Cobra than American Muscle products.

    Ford Racing Performance Clutch

    American muscle is OUTSTANDING! They were extremely helpful and knowledge about the clutch and threw in a pilot bearing for free since this was my first purchase from AA. The clutch is awesome, it has great bite, launches quickly and isn't stiff like a lot of the race clutches out there. A++++!

    Ford Racing Say no more

    I had this Ford Racing clutch installed along with a Ford Racing Roller Pilot Bearing on a 96 GT by a good home mechanic. This is what a clutch should feel like, release and go. Previous clutches did not grab and caused bucking. Be sure to use a QUALITY BEARING on your clutches as the bearings go out before the clutches.
