Work with v6 Is this the pinion flange that is needed to take a 05-09 v6 and put a 8.8 gt rear in it and still use the factory driveshaft?


  • Yes, if you are swapping your rear end for the 8.8 this is what you need. It bolts right up no problem and you can still run your factory driveshaft.

    Pinion flange

    Changing 7.5 differential on 06 Mustang to 8.8 from GT Not only was the part exactly what I needed, the AM rep knew what I needed before I asked. Great staff, reasonable price.

    2005-2009 V6 Upgrade

    I put in a 8.8" rear end from a GT. This pinion flange is exactly what is needed to connect your V6 driveshaft. Installation was easy and it works perfectly.

    Another Quality Product!

    I purchased this part due to suggestion by American Muscle...and I am glad I listened to them. I did an 8.8 swap this morning at a shop on my car...and the original pinion flange on the axle will NOT bolt up to my v6. Luckily I had listened to American Muscle and ordered this part. The shop had it installed in about 10 minutes and set to work on bolting the axle back up to the car. The part arrived quickly, and was packaged very well. AmericanMuscle has never steered me wrong. Quality Products. Amazing Customer Care/Service. All around great business! I called an spoke to someone to verify if I needed this part for sure or not, the first rep couldn't tell me for sure but found me someone who could confirm for me 100%.

    Necessity for a 7.5" to 8.8" swap on S197 V6

    I recently swapped my 2008 V6 stock 7.5" axle with a 2014 GT 8.8" track pack axle. this product is a necessity for that. Worked perfectly.

    I recently swapped my v6 rear end for one from a roush mustang on my 06 Mustang. I was asking some question about the swap and one of your employees personally Messaged me and told me exactly what I needed. He also sent a link and picture, so buying this part from your website was a click away and couldn't have been any easier!! The part I ended up needing was a 03-04 cobra racing pinion flange. The part was very reasonably priced and was exactly what I was expecting. The flange was carefully packed and I was able to directly bolt it on right out of the box.. I have put this flange through some agressive driving and high speeds and it has not let me down!!!!     works great for a gt rear end swap on a v6.

    I purchased the 03/04 cobra pinion flange to put on a 06 gt rear and to install on my 2010 v6. Installation went easy as it bolts right up. You have to check to torque on the pinion nut to torque it down to the same spec. Installed the new rear end on my 2010 v6 and WOW its amazing. Great product fast shipping. I will continue to purchase my parts from American Muscle.

    Necessary part for an 8.8 conversion

    The Cobra pinion flange is a necessary part when converting an '05-10 V6 to an 8.8 axle assembly. Fits right onto the pinion and provides the correct distance for the V6 driveshaft to mate with the 8.8 rear end.

    Just What I Needed!

    Needed a pinion flange for my cobra swap and it worked great. No wine or odd noises and really easy to install. You also cant beat how fast American muscle gets it to you!
