Custom Bama Tunes specific to your vehicle. When you order a iTSX, you aren't just getting a tuner - you are getting the tuner and 3 dyno-tested custom Bama tunes:

  • Street (87-93 octane) - The street tune is designed as a daily driver program that focuses on increasing mid-range power. Automatic vehicles are further enhanced by making adjustments to the transmission's shift points and firmness.

  • Performance (87-93 octane) - The Performance program is designed to add power at 3000 RPMs and higher, focusing more on the top end horsepower and all out performance driving. Timing, fuel and throttle response settings are slightly more aggressive than the street tune. This is a great track tune but also works well for daily drivers that are looking for a little more "get up and go" than the street tune. The automatic transmission settings are the same as in the street tune.

  • Race (91 - 93 octane) - The race tune will ensure the largest increase in vehicle performance. Using the highest grade of fuel available in your area is mandatory. This file is designed for "Race Use Only", as the timing, fuel, and throttle response settings are very aggressive. It is so aggressive that we do not recommend it for daily driving as it may cause your vehicle to try to jump out from a stop and easily spin the tires. On automatics, we implement entirely new shift points and firmness settings to further enhance the all-out performance of the vehicle.

Nitrous (91-unleaded race gas) - Our nitrous option can be added to any of our previously mentioned tune options, but only for 91-octane unleaded fuel.

Easy to load; easy to restore. When you load your custom tune on the vehicle, the iTSX automatically stores your vehicle's factory settings. To return the vehicle to its factory settings, just select the option to restore the factory settings, and you're done.

  • Yes, you can return the ECU to stock. You should do this anytime you put the car in the shop (Ford shop that is). Bad news is yes, Ford can tell that the ECU had something done to it and when - but not what.

Can this recalibrate the speedometer based on tire/wheel size? Will this be able to re-calibrate the speedometer from the stock 215/65-17 setup to 235/50-18 wheels? (I also want to be able to switch between the two to use the 17's for snow tires.) Do you need to send it to SCT after the 4th time you tune for it to be unlocked?

    Great alternative

    I was going back and forth between other tuners with color displays and virtual Gauges. I was hesitant on their price. This was a great alternative if you already have an Ipad and/or Iphone. Installation is very easy as it's simply plug in the bluetooth enabled tuner. I started up my Ipad and synced via bluetooth with no issues. Quick and easy. As soon as I was linked, I started the software and right away I was connected. Gauges are clean and accurate. I started the performance test but only partially completed (populated area, need less chance of the cops being around). I uploaded my Bama custom performance toon and love it. Upload was very straight forward. Very happy with the purchase.

    They did good.

    I had a little problem at first with the tuner, but after talking with American Muscle tech support, they got it taken care of and My Nag feel better then ever. I need to get my exhaust taken care of and then it's time for a new driver shaft.

    ITSX Tuner

    Awesome product! Its really simple to use, you just plug it in... Bluetooth the program to your phone and choose your tune. I put this tune on my 2012 v6 AT THE SAME TIME with my steda CAI (the steda intake requires a tune) and it made a huge difference. Definitely have more throttle response, engine is tons louder, and car move when you u lay down on the gas.... like i said i put it in WITH the new CAI so i cant tell you that the tune itself gives great HP gains but both combined def did. ALSO with the tune im redlining at higher RPM's AND i have the premium v6 so i have icolor and ambient lighting and when I red line really high the RPM gauge flashes red real quick.... basically its a cool tuner i def recommend it .

    Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda - DID!

    So I bought my current Mustang sight unseen (I had not even driven a 2011 Stang). Drove it for a year stock. First mod - get rid of those tiny 17 inch tires . . . 245/45-19's off a GT for me. Then I added a BBK CAI - Sounded really good and I noticed a slight increase in low end torque. Next came the BBK Throttle Body. This added a bit more low end torque and seemed to help the 0-60's by about half a second (seat of pants and freeway on ramps). Still, I could not break the rear wheels loose even with "power breaking" Now for the best part. Just about every car I've had n the past has been "chipped" - so this car was no exception. After months of procrastination (and trying to decide which one) - I finally bit the bullet. Geeze - I wish I'd done this mod first. I keep forgetting just how good a good computer tune is. I played with all the tunes included and for my driving style, I preferred the "performance" tune the best. I can light up the tires without power breaking! I bought a little Dyno time (Dynojet) just to see the real numbers. I managed 258.56 HP and 248.24 TQ out of a V-6 with and automatic - not bad if I say so myself. Of course that's with SAE correction at the rear wheels. My recommendation if you want the most bang for the buck - get a tuner!

    all i can say is, 'Wow!'

    after the tune i can hear and feel the difference. it just sounds more powerful than before the tune. on the street you can feel a little more on the low end but it's definitely more powerful the higher you rev it. it also probably doesn't hurt i added a cold air intake and new 3.73 gears.. :)

    Coolest Tuner

    From the moment I plugged the SCT iTSX programmer in and paired it with my iPAD I knew I loved this device. The information that you can get out is incredible. The gauges are so customizable and easy to read. The performance test was spot on. I ran the Performance test stock to baseline then again with each of the different Tunes sent out and the results spoke for themselves. The car runs better, smoother and has more power. But the best part is the techno geek factor for me. Just a supper cool device, been showing it off to all my friends.

    Cool product with cool features.

    I have a Mac computer so loading tunes would be a hassle on the other tuners. This one allows me to open the email link and load the new tune within the application. So that helped push me in this devices direction. It is a small compact really neat device. Self explanatory in how to use. The manual and how to and even a test demo is all in the app on your phone. So you can try it out before you buy. It costs less than the livewire Ts and trinity and you can still have the Gauge capability. I used it the first day but I don't know if I will really ever use it but it is cool to have the ability to have virtual gauges and data logging capabilities and I saved $$$ on not purchasing the aforementioned devices. On the other hand it is also more expensive than the standard hand tuner. I think it is a great middle ground. It took about 15 minutes to do the whole tuning process the first time. I'm assuming half of that was due to copying the stock tune. Overall I am extremely pleased with the device. I've only loaded the street tune so far on 87. It was a huge upgrade over stock as you instantly notice the shift points and throttle response. My rpms on the interstate were also lower. I just put in some 93 so I'm running the tank down and then I'll laid the 93 tunes to see how much of a difference there is. If you like gadgets and technology and want to tune your car then this will be a great purchasing decision.

    Get the regular tuner

    My phone and my ipad have to be searching for the device when i plug it in to the OBDII or it won't connect. Usually crashes the app and freezes up once or twice before i can view the interactive guages. Either the performance test is inaccurate or my v6 ist putting out 585 horsepower and running a 14... You need the tunes to keep air/fuel good and to get the most out of your car, but if i had it to do over again i'd save the 90 bucks for sure.

    Holy S..T!!

    For all you V-6 People out there it is a must have... I have a 2011 Convertible and have slight mods done to it but after the SCT iTSX Tuner was applied to the car... it was a night and day difference. My pre-tuner 0-60 times were avg. between 5.8 and 6.2 sec. After the race tune was installed, my times went to an avg. of 4.81 to 5.13 depending on the bite. 1st and 2nd gear are pretty useless if you don't have good traction tires. I switched to Nitto 275-40R/17 555's and it helped some, but I am changing to 315-35R/19's. I you have or are thinking about a V6, the tuner is a must have. Good luck!!

    Pretty Cool Toy

    1st, you have the tunes, which will be the same regardless of the unit with which you tune. I went with 87S, 89P and 93R in order to get a wide range with which to play. I had done plenty of reading before making this purchase and I can echo the comments of so many others. 87S added just a bit of bottom end grunt and some improved throttle response. It also smoothed out the power band, removing the peaks and valleys I have found to be quite annoying with the stock tune. Overall, driveability was significantly improved. I also found about a 1.5 MPG improvement in mixed driving. 91P provided the greatest improvement with more bottom end, added middle and a significant improvement in throttle response. All of this equates to further improved driveability and still about 1.5 MPG over stock. 93R expanded on the low and mid and added on to the high end too. There wasn't an noticeable improvement in throttle response over 91P. No doubt, the 93R gives you the most gains. The car is very responsive throughout it's now increased and more consistent power band. There is no reason not to drive with this tune all the time. Drivebility is still far better than stock and MPG is pretty close to stock if not just slightly improved...if you stay out of the throttle ;) Now, on to the iTSX specifically. It's neat, but not quite as useful as I had hoped. You can data log and setup custom gauges, but none of it is as user friendly as I had expected from an iOS app. The most fun part is the performance test. You can get a true 0-60 and 1/4 mi. With this tool, I got my 0-60 times from 6.1 stock to 5.9 87S, 5.7 91P and 5.6 93R. Pretty cool. Is it worth the extra $90 over using a regular tuner? Probably, but only just barely. Whether you choose this over a regular tuner comes down to how strapped you are and how much you think you'll play with the added features.
