Improves Handling Performance. Upgrade the suspension of your S197 Mustang with Koni Sport Shocks and Struts for improved handling and performance. Koni's Sport Yellow series top-of-line performance shocks and struts are designed to be direct fit replacements for your factory units and are ideal for use with lowering springs and performance sway bars.

Adjustable. The adjustable option of the Koni Sport shocks and struts allows you to adjust compression and rebound with just a twist of a knob. Turn the knob clockwise and soften the dampening, counter clockwise stiffens the dampening.

Quality Construction. Koni Sport Series shocks and struts feature a gas pressurized twin-tube design with a larger-diameter piston for optimum street performance. These shocks and struts are completed in a classic yellow finish with the world-famous KONI logo.

Application. This Koni Sport Adjustable Shock and Strut Kit is specifically designed to fit the 2005 to 2010 Ford Mustangs, including the V6, GT, Bullitt and Shelby GT500 models. Sold as a set of four.

Will these dampers work with a 2011+ Mustang if using GT500 mounts or Caster/Camber plates? I really like the Koni adjustable dampers that I have used in the past and am looking for options for lowering our 2014 Mustang GT. Thanks!

Khaine

  • Yes you can use the GT500 strut mounts with these shocks and struts and it will work on your 2014 GT.

    Not Durable

These struts and shocks started out great, but it didn't take long for the horrible Michigan roads to take there toll! Next up Bilstein struts and shocks, hopefully they give me more than 1 year!

    Just buy them!

Only took an afternoon because I was installing the S&R springs, S&R adjustable lower control arms and upper rear control arm and J&M panhard bar. But I love these, I can go on a long drive and set them to full soft or go find some really curvy road through the woods in Germany and stiffen them up for better handling. You wont regret getting them. JUST DO IT!

    Well worth the money

I like to first say that my car now drives better than the day I took it home from the dealer. I have a Roush 427R, and though they're made to handle like a dream, they aren't the most comfortable cars to take on a bumpy road. All of that changed yesterday when I installed these Koni Sports. I read a lot of reviews, but what impressed me most was that almost every Roush owner that upgraded/replaced their factory (Roush) dampeners ended up purchasing the Koni Sports...mainly for their adjustable features. I started with mine on full soft, and it rides great. My wife noticed a huge difference before we even got out of our neighborhood. It handles great as is, but I'm playing around with the stiffness to see what they'll really do. Don't let the price scare you away. You get what you pay for with the Koni Sports (yellows).

    Mellow yellow

I had these fitted as part of a big project to upgrade all the control arms, panard, springs , bump steer etc etc etc. Got the poly bushings etc so I feel every bump . In mid position they do a good job without losing too much. Soften them up makes a big difference. I call that the date setting.

    Koni struts and shocks great.

After lowering my 2011 Mustang GT, the ride was stiff and sometimes jarring. Noticeable improvement by installing these struts and shocks. Did with the GT500 mounts.

    KONI's are the best

Went to club presidents house to install and with his help and another club member we installed all four in a little over 3 hours. After front end was aligned, I took it to the track and WOW !!! what a difference. Handling is so much better and I was able to shave 6 seconds off my time. My "Stang" is a daily driver and even though the ride is a little stiffer it is manageable and worth it. Get this setup and you won't be disappointed.

    Amazing ride improvement

2 years ago I lowered my 07 vert with the Eibach suspension kit . came with sportsline springs, sway bar, shocks and struts. it looked amazing however the ride quality was horrible. I installed the Koni's and it is absolutely amazing how improved the ride quality is now. I get the sweet look of a lowered stang without giving up too much on ride ability.

    Good product

My car is lowered on h&r and the stock shocks and struts went bad so I had to replace with these. I also added an adjustable panhard. On full stiff car handles incredible. Handles better than my friends 2013 subi wrx. But for everyday driving I keep it on full soft, it's not bad but not as smooth as I anticipated.

    Koni adjustable shocks and struts

I have used this product before and I have been able to control wheel hop with the proper setting. The fit is excellent, adjust ability is easy and they are a great compliment to mylowering springs. The lifetime guarantee is a plus as well.

    koni max

Wanted to put adjustable struts and shocks on my 2005. KYB does not even make an AGX for the Mustang!.I did not want to change the ride height, so coilovers were irrelevant ....Konis fit and look great, with better ride and less body roll.

    Koni adjustables with stock springs

I was a bit nervous about using lowering springs with my new Koni adjustable struts and shocks. I wanted to improved road manners without sacrificing ride comfort. I can get lowering springs later. The ride height looks high, but the aggressive performance really makes up for it. I don't see the wheel gap when I'm driving, but I certainly can feel the difference!

    From Cadillac to Racecar

I found these not too bad to install with the instructions user provided instructions provided on the shocks purchase page. I tried them on full soft and it was like riding in a Cadillac, buy still sporty. I got them set at the mid point and they are very sporty. I haven't tried full stiff yet, because I feel that I am at the maximum amount of stiff I want to go versus comfort. At the mid point, I am taking corners super fast and not slipping.

THE best mod for your Mustang

I believe that upgrading your suspension is the single most important and noticeable modification you can do. This is the third car in which I've swapped Koni struts and shocks, and yet again the improvement in ride quality is outstanding. I installed these myself along with Steeda Ultralite springs, adjustable panhard bar, and Ford Racing bump stops and GT500 strut mounts. Installation was a breeze since I put together the front strut assemblies without a spring compressor and simply swapped them with the stock struts. Rear shock installation was a breeze as well. As far as ride quality, I've only tried the max soft setting but the car's behavior over bumps and rough roads has drastically improved, No more prolonged bouncing - it's one and done. My wife noticed the difference right away and now finds the ride quality quite enjoyable. Do yourself and your passengers a favor and upgrade to Koni's - they're worth every penny.

    4th Set of Struts/ Shocks

This is a review with the Konis mounted on my 2012 GT with Vorshlag Caster Camber plates, Whiteline Sways, Forgestar 18x11s all the way around the and weight of a Whipple supercharger over the nose. This is my winter, off-season, suspension as I run coilovers for track days during the normal season. I matched the Konis with H and R Super Sport springs. With this set up the drop is identical to my coilover suspension (2" all the way around). It is important to note that I have tried 3 other sets of conventional shock/struts (Stock, Ford Racing and Bilsteins). With the exception of my very expensive coilover set-up I find the Konis to be superior to any other shock/struts I have experienced on this car. While the Konis are adjustable in rebound only the effects to ride and handling are very noticeable. My daily setting are 1 full turn toward hard up front and 1/2 turn toward hard in the back. All adjustments are made at the top of the shock or strut with a supplied plastic knob. With these springs and the above settings this delivers a slightly firm but very "daily driver" friendly ride while still offering good turn in and road holding. For long highway trips 1/2 turn in front and full soft in back offers a very plush ride similar to my wife's SUV but you pay for it in handling. If you are looking for the benefit of a lower ride height, and a slightly more aggressive spring rate you need a better set of dampers to control both compression and rebound. These Konis do just that can be easily adjusted for conditions. It is my opinion that this set up is your best option for street and occasional track use.
