    Hi I’m Justin with, and this is my detailed break down of Eibachs anti roll sway bar kit, for all 2005-2010 V6 and GT Mustangs. If you’re not familiar with sway bars, here’s what you need to know: as far as basic suspension components go, sway bars are one of the biggest tools for reducing body roll and understeer through turns. This kit from Eibach should make for flatter cornering, and a more stable car in just about any driving situation. We know what they should do in theory but we want to see how these sway bars perform in real world situations. So with that said we’re going to take our 06 GT out on the street, look for some turns and see how our car handles now in stock form. Alright, so we’re out in our 06 GT, doing a little test drive before we install those Eibach sway bars, and honestly the car feels ok, but let’s be honest, these are bigger cars, they’re kind of heavy, so there’s going to be a little understeer through turns when you push them hard, there’s going to be a little bit of body roll. However, I definitely feel there’s room for improvement, so with that said, let’s get our GT back to the shop. This kit consists of a 35mm tubular front sway bar, and a solid 22mm rear bar. As for the construction, Eibach decided to go with a cold form, aircraft grade steel, and then finished everything off in a very cool red powder coat. This kit also features high quality polyurethane bushings, complete with a greasable fitting, which is only going to prolong the life of your bushing, and help keep any excess noise to a minimum. Installation of the front/rear sway bar should only take you about 2 hours but does require you to do some crawling around underneath the car, and removal of some stubborn bolts, so just be sure to have your favorite can of penetrating oil on hand before you get started. Once you have everything off the new Eibach kit should go on relatively easily, thanks to the new end links hardware and brackets that are including with the kit. Now that we have our Eibach anti roll kit installed on our 06 GT behind me, let’s get it out of the shop 1 more time and see the difference this kit makes. Alright, so we’re back out on the road in our 06 GT with the Eibach sway bar kit installed, and the car just feels so much more planted already, I mean we’re already a couple of turns in, and we’ve already got to feel what a difference these make. I don’t want to say totally eliminated the body roll because that would be unrealistic, but here we go, nice right hander. We’re moving along, and we’re pretty flat, this car is cornering a lot better than it did in stock form, and it’s really, really a lot more confident. You don’t want to hammer on it through the turns because when you add a larger rear sway bar like that, it will make the rear end a little bit more happy meaning it’s probably going to step out on you a little bit easier. But I for one like that, it makes the car a lot more fun to drive. These sway bars without a doubt would be a vital, vital addition to any suspension build, and really made a world of difference right here on our 06 GT.     Will, this kit work on an 2006 convertible. I see some kits mention they will not work on a convertible, and ford racing has a kit specific for convertibles. What is the difference?


    • Hi, This Anti-Roll Sway Bar Kit is designed for use on the 2005 to 2010 coupe and convertible Mustangs, The Ford Performance kit has slightly more clearance for the convertibles extra bracing.

    I had a question about the size of the sway bar link bolts for this kit. I purchased the kit about 6 months ago and I failed to re-torque them after installation and they fell off and I am looking for a replacement set of bolts for this kit. I will repurchase the sway bar links if it would be possible.

    Ford Racing Lowering Springs 1.25 inch (V6) Will Ford Racing lowering springs (1.25 inch) and the Eibach Anti-roll sway bar kit (V6) work together? Can I have both of these products on my car or will there be problems I will run into? Lastly, if they can both be put on the car how will the car handle and ride? High speeds, bumpy roads, cruising, etc? This is my daily driver. Thank you!


    • They will work perfectly together. In terms of mounting springs and sway bars are disjoint. Sway bar and springs in any car never go against each other. Upgraded sway bar is the absolute best bang for buck even more than springs and shocks when it comes to handling. You would see huge difference in handling specially in cornering where mustangs are notorious for its body roll.

      Eibach Sway Bar Kit, nice upgrade!

      The EIBACH Sway Bar Kit is the final suspension upgrade after installing 1.5" lowering springs, struts, shocks, GT 500 strut mounts, panhard bar, panhard bar brace, strut tower bar and front lower control arm brace. All after market sway bars are compatible in diameter and provide the same results. I purchased the EIBACH Kit at a great sale price from AM! Installation done in a couple of hours. After initial road test, I did notice noise from the rear sway bar and links. I am going to re-check and re-torque all mounting bolts to try to alleviate this noise problem! After market sway bars are a must when upgrading your suspension. One final note, after market sway bar kits should include upgraded front sway bar links!

      Icing on the cake

      This along with a BMR tubular radiator support was the final piece of the puzzle! I have upgraded every suspension component now! These sway bars though!! I have been eyeing these and installation was easy and straight forward. The car handles amazing now and carves corners with little to no body roll. And they look amazing! I don't just put anything on my car this is a top notch kit! Thank you guys in customer service for making this happen for me!! You guys know how to treat a loyal customer!

      '08 anti-sway upgrade

      Received my bright red front and rear bars and used the instructions for help. The front bar went in readily and the rear bar took a little more work as you need to put load a on it with the bolts and nuts a little loose. Instead of putting the wheels back on and lowering onto ramps, I inserted axle stands under the axles and dropped it down. Easier access. Then you tighten everything up. Installed the front bar in the adjustment holes and went for a drive. No more squirming around corners, a lot tighter. A good investment. Looks good with my red paint too.

      Great Product

      The Eibach anti-roll sway bar kit was easy to install, it took me and my son less than three hours to install. The handling improved there is less body roll, I also lowered the vehicle so the combination was awesome.

      Quality Sway Bar Kit

      These sway bars are an excellent upgrade. They are much stiffer and more solid than the OEM bars. I have used Eibach suspension products before and have never been let down in terms of quality and performance. A little pricey, but worth every penny. The front bar is adjustable which is great because it can cater to different driving styles. The rear end links are thick and beefy, a huge upgrade from the OEM links. The brackets have grease fittings for the bushings which is a nice feature. Install took about 1.5hrs in my driveway on jackstands, with basic tools, and a friend helping me out, but you can easily cut that time in half if you have access to a lift. Performance gains were subtle, however, I noticed a little less nose dive in the front while braking, and the rear end feels a lot firmer and planted. I also added a Steeda X-brace and that really stiffened things up out back. I also suggest getting new, adjustable end links for the front, as this kit does not come with them.

      Good upgrade

      Bought this set up for my 05 v6. felt the difference right away. Very confident in its turns great improvement for obvious reasons (V6s don't come equipped with a rear sway bar.) The only problem I had was after I installed them about a week later the rear end links bent and broke....once I looked at where they broke the wall on the end link that connect to the bar is very thin and weak and its not even all metal inside witch was disappointing. I would suggest buying another pair of solid rear end links with this set up especially if your ride is lowered.

      Well made product

      I took about four hours to install mine. The fit and finish is great on these bars, clamps and end links. The front is pretty easy. You do not have to remove the wheels. It needs to be lifted but just a few inches to get the necessary working room. Use some penetrating oil on the old bolts and nuts. I set the bar in the middle for daily driving. The rear was more work. You must remove the rear tires to get proper access. The bar install is very straight forward. Its not difficult, just a bit time consuming working on a garage floor. I noticed that the Ford hardware is metric, but some of the Eibach is English (9/16th) so be sure to have good set of wrenches and sockets including deep well. I mistakenly left one of the billet end links too loose where it attached to the chassis. I heard it right away as soon as I hit a minor bump. Went back, tightened it tight and all if fine. Too bad you can't see these bars. They look great with the brushed allow end links. Nice product.

      product helps your car in a great way

      Just got this kit on a bit ago from a local shop and once I got on a curvy road I thought I wouldn't know a lot of difference. But I did! This kit greatly improves the handling around corners and you can definitely feel it when driving. It feels more responsive and precise at where you want to go. I had the shop do the middle setting and there is no over steer or under steer. But that's just driving curves, it stills kicks out when you punch it on a right hand turn at a stop sign. I love it!

      Definite Improvement Noticed

      I did feel a definite improvement in our 2006 GT's cornering and handling, overall. The turns are tighter and a lot of the creaking and clunking noises that developed over the years seemed to have gone away. I've also decided to add the Tower Strut under the hood as well. That should be an easy DIY project. Might as well go all out. I know I'm an aggressive driver, so for me this turned out to be a worthwhile improvement and investment.

      The title refers to the ride and install. I know what your saying, It shouldn't be smother as much more stiff. The ride is to say the least, is less "sloppy"!! The rear doesn't try to break loose as easy when on the gas with sharp turns or off the line. I have the front on the middle setting, and boy does the car really go where I point. I had my stang out on some fun twisty roads a few days after install to get a feel and she just kept going where I pointed it. My only other suspension upgrade is a strut tower brace. Other wise the rest is OEM from the day I bought it. I can only imagine what it will be like when I do UCA, LCA, bump steer, ext. Its my daily driver in the summer, an I don't race/drag or anything like that. With that said my stang feels "safer". Doesn't mean I see a sign that says 15MPH turn and I try to take it at 40. All I'm saying is it feels like I'm not having to "fight" the turns, and I'm driving the turns. Install took me 2.5 hrs in my drive way with ramps. I have access to a lift but when on a lift or jack stands you have to wait till it's under full load before you can tighten everything down. when on ramps you never take the load off!!!! Even though this SHOULD have NO EFFECT on your alignment no matter what way you do it, I felt by keeping the load on and not allowing anything to shift was added insurance is all. It was a little bit of a challenge on a few things being on ramps, but NOTHING that would have made me wish I had used a lift to do the work. If It was a drive on lift I would have used it. Also be patient with small creeks, squeaks, or pops after the install. Listen for loud ones and look for what's loose and correct it, but you need to let those bushings "break in" and give the grease you apply at install a chance to work. I had a few of these for about a week, when I entered driveways at an angle, and over small bumps/pot holes I couldn't avoid, and now, not a peep. Money VERY well spent

      Is WOW enough? I think NOT!

      No wow just is not enough for what this sway bar set did for my 2010 v6 pony. I have a premium trim set so it came with front and rear bars but you would not think so with the way it drove. I and a buddy installed these and some J&M rear LCA in just over 4 hours and it was my first time under a car, in my life. ever. The improvement in handling is just crazy, I was telling a friend the other day how it really feels like s sports car now, how this is the first car I have ever had that makes me want to drive it. I found the install of this mod to be very easy and would recommend this brand to anyone that really want to make the dollar they spend make there butt pucker.

      Flatter Cornering Achieved

      The hard-to-handle understeer tendencies of the GT convertible (while driving through canyon/mountain passes and Highway 1 in Northern California) was completely eliminated after installation of the anti-roll sway bars. Now, the outside wheel in a turn stays firmly planted on the pavement, which makes for flatter, faster corning and superior tracking. The installation was easy and fit impeccable.
