Description
Durable, rugged construction. Replace your Mustang's rusty factory muffler exhaust hangers with durable Stainless Steel. These SR Performance Mustang exhaust hangers feature OEM style construction, but ditch the rust-prone factory steel for gleaming 304 Stainless Steel.

Versatile. These SR Performance hangers work with any aftermarket or stock cat-back exhaust system and will be the last hangers your Mustang will ever need. The kit fits all 2005-2010 V6 and V8 Mustangs, and is also the recommended hardware for installing a True Dual GT Cat-Back on V6 Mustangs.

Application. This SR Performance Stainless Steel Exhaust Hanger Kit is designed for use on the 2005 to 2010 V6 and V8 Ford Mustangs. Recommended for 2005-2010 V6 Mustangs converting to a True Dual Cat-back exhaust.

Technical Notes. Sometime in 2007, Ford changed the style of exhaust hangers used to install the stock exhaust on the 2007 S197 Mustangs. They switched from a "rubber and steel" hanger design to an "all rubber" hanger, which will not work correctly with the after-market cat-back exhaust systems on the market today. Please visually check your exhaust to determine whether or not you need this optional rubber and steel hangar.

If you’re looking to replace the worn out and rusty exhaust hangers on your ride, or you’re just looking to add a true dual exhaust system to your V6, you’ll definitely want to check out these stainless steel exhaust hangers for all 2005-2010 V6 and V8 Mustangs. These high quality OEM like replacements are going to be for someone who’s experiencing some exhaust rattles, or vibrations caused by an old and failing hanger. These will also be good for someone who has a 2007 and up Mustang, who is having some troubles getting their aftermarket exhaust bolted up using those factory rubber hangers, which will not work with some of today’s aftermarket exhausts. The hangers themselves are sold in sets of 2 and constructed from durable 304-grade stainless steel, which won’t rust up like your factory hangers. Speaking of those rusty factory hangers, getting those removed, and these new stainless hangers installed, should only take you about an hour or so but just be sure to have your favorite can of penetrating oil on hand before you get started. So if you’re looking to get rid of excessive exhaust vibrations and rattles, or you’re just looking to add that true dual system to your V6, then you’ll want to check out quality stainless hangers today at AmericanMuscle.com.

General 06 Mustang GT My exhaust hanger broke and I was wondering if these are made to fit on the rear hangers near the muffler tip. Can you please let me know ASAP? Thanks, Leo

  • Yes these will fit. The rubber grommet is great. Make sure to put this on the sleeve before bolting up if you are using jack stands very limited space to install these from the floor with no lift.

    Need two sets for V8

Great product but realize you will needs two sets of these brackets for a set of dual mufflers. There are only 2 brackets in each kit and you need 2 for each muffler!

    Nice Addition

I ordered these hangers because when I installed my Magnaflow axle back mufflers on my '08 Bullitt, the factory hangers didn't seem to fit right. After reading the description for these hangers I thought maybe they would be solution since it said sometime in 2007 Ford changed the design. Apparently not on the Bullitt because other than being stainless, these are identical to the factory ones. Kind of expensive for a dress up item but the quality is exceptional. No complaints.

    you need it

just buy these is you are putting dual on your v6 because I forgot to buy them, and I had to order them after I tried to put my exhaust on and I was halfway done with the job, then I had to put the stock the stock exhaust back on and wait for the hangers to come in, so you really need these, don't try to save money by not buying them

    Weak compared to OEM

Within one week one of the rubber arms had sheared on the new bracket. I never had a problem with the old set. Also ended up shearing a bolt when tightening - never had that problem with the OEM set either. Bracket fit fine and did it's job, but just had a lower quality compared to the stock parts.

Very Similar to Stock Hangers, but Better Construction

Rather than experience what other have with vibrations and poor exhaust alignment, I bought these with my SLP Loudmouth muffler delete system. They fit fine, and I admit that we had no trouble at all getting my exhaust perfectly aligned. Paying close attention to orientation when taking the stock ones off will make putting the new ones on a little quicker. These look really nice, especially with the muffler delete!

    They fit

Used to install a duel exhaust on a V6. Just use the self tapping bolts from the already installed side and use the bolts in this kit to replace the self tappers. They fit up just fine. I think there a bit pricey, but what other chioce is there besides takiing the time to make your own
