Billet Aluminum Flywheel. Constructed from 6061-T6, the Ram billet aluminum flywheel weighs in at about half the weight of the stock flywheel (16lbs VS 32lbs), which translates into quicker response—faster acceleration and deceleration, as well as less wheel spin for quicker ET's.

Blanchard-Ground. To overcome clutch snatch and/or chatter and to provide minimal run-out, Ram flywheels are Blanchard-ground, for a proper friction surface. This also ensures the flywheel is perfectly parallel to the mounting flange. In addition, Ram counter-bores their flywheels for button-head cap screws that secure the starter gear ring to the flywheel.

Protect Your Investment. When replacing your clutch you have two options: resurfacing your stock flywheel, or getting a new flywheel. Most times, a new flywheel is a better choice than resurfacing, as the flywheel will dictate how well your clutch will perform, as well as how long it will last.

SFI Certified. If you're using this flywheel in high performance or racing applications, SFI Certification is critical so you can run your Pony at the track or strip. And it's great for peace of mind even in a daily driver - at higher RPMs, stock cast flywheels have been known to explode.

Application. This 6 Bolt - 164 tooth Ram Billet Aluminum flywheel is specifically designed for use on the 2001 to 2004 V6 Mustangs equipped with either the 3.8L or 3.9L engine.

  • Unfortunately, this RAM Billet Aluminum Flywheel would not work on your automatic Mustang V6. Since you have an automatic, you would need to purchase a flexplate.

    Ram Billet Aluminum Perfect

Lets just say, You want to go fast, buy it! wanna go slow and normal, stay away! I am extremely happy with this flywheel and the results! Yes it chatters Alot. but honestly since everything like clutch and flywheel is getting broken in, the chatter is gone! it comes and goes so dont take my word for it. i just know it doesn't chatter like it did when i first first it up.
