Peace of Mind. When replacing your clutch you have two options, resurfacing your old stock flywheel, or getting a brand new flywheel. A new flywheel is a much better choice than resurfacing, as the flywheel will dictate how well your clutch will perform, as well as how long it will last.
Quality Construction. This RAM Billet Aluminum Flywheel is surface ground for a flat, parallel mating surface and balanced to the factory specification within a ½ ounce inch. Also the Aluminum Flywheels feature a ¼ inch thick steel friction surface for better heat dissipation without distortion that can occur with thinner inserts.
Fitment. The RAM Billet Aluminum Flywheel fits the 1999-Mid 2001 GT, 1996-2004 Cobra, Mach 1 and 2007-2009 GT500 Mustangs and is the perfect companion to your new RAM Clutch. It is also SFI certified for use in high performance applications at higher RPMs where stock cast flywheels can explode.
Technical Note. This RAM Billet Aluminum flywheel has an 8 bolt main that is found in the 1999-mid 01 Mustang GT's with production date ending on 01/01, 1996-2004 Mustang Cobra's, 2003-2004 Mach 1's and 2007-2009 Shelby GT500. Please check with your Ford dealer to determine if you have a 6 or an 8 bolt main.
