The RAM Street Dual Disc Force uses RAM's 300 series steel backed friction discs in a sprung hub assembly that absorbs the initial engagement of the clutch and reduces the chance of chatter on takeoff. With a torque capacity of roughly 800-foot pounds and a moderate clamp pressure, this clutch can handle a small blower or turbo, yet the engagement is still smooth enough for everyday daily driving.
The RAM Force 9.5 Clutch features a strap driven floater plate for completely quite operation that works well for high horsepower street Mustangs. The floater plate is driven from three sets of straps that eliminate any floater plate rattle at idle that is common in stand-driven multi disc clutch setups.
The included RAM Billet Aluminum Flywheel is surface ground for a flat, parallel mating surface and balanced to the factory specification within a ½ ounce inch. Also the Aluminum Flywheels feature a ¼ inch thick steel friction surface for better heat dissipation without distortion that can occur with thinner inserts.
This RAM Street Dual Disc Clutch kit comes complete with a 10-spline 9.5" Diameter Disc, a 9.5" Diameter Clutch Plate, and a 8-bolt Aluminum Flywheel.
If you're using this Dual Disc Clutch and Flywheel in high performance or racing applications, SFI Certification is critical so you can run your Pony at the track or strip. And it's great for peace of mind even in a daily driver.
This RAM 10-Spline Street Dual Disc Force 9.5" Clutch w/ Flywheel is designed to fit 1996-2010 4.6L and 5.4L V8 Mustangs with an 8 bolt crank.
It's recommended that you add an SR Performance Braided Stainless Steel Hydraulic Clutch Line during your new clutch install. Stock
plastic clutch lines can fail during aggressive driving. Stainless steel clutch lines help prevent gear lockout and provide superior
clutch pedal feel, even under the toughest conditions.
