Power Saving 5050 SMD Technology. The bulbs included in this Raxiom LED Conversion Kit feature 60 LED's, 30 white and 30 amber, set in a 360 degree viewing angle and utilize 3-chip 5050 SMD technology to produce super bright light while only consuming 1/10th of the power of the factory incandescent bulb. These LED bulbs are rated at 100,000 hours of continuous use.

Application. This Raxiom Switchback Turn Signal Conversion Kit is specifically designed for use on the 1994 to 2004 Ford Mustangs, including the V6, GT, Bullitt, Mach 1, and SVT Cobra models. Recommended for use with clear turn signal housings.

Hi, I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I have with me Raxiom's Switchback Turn Signal Conversion kit, fitting all 2005 and newer Mustangs. This is one of those mods that isn't going to single-handedly win you a car show, or break necks on the street, but they are a very cool accent piece, that will introduce a little bit of that modern LED lighting onto your ride, with a twist. These lights use what Raxiom calls their switchback technology, which allow these lights to shine bright white for your parking lights or your running lights, and then switch to amber for your turn signals. So how is one bulb able to achieve two different colors? Well, the lights are able to achieve this by using a 60 LED T1 style bulb, of which 30 of the LEDs are white, and the other 30 LEDs are amber. Now thanks to these load equalizing resistors, it allows the light to change automatically from bright white to amber whenever the turn signals or hazards are activated. Now the bulbs do install right into your factory turn-signal sockets, but since you do have to splice in those resistors, the total install time should take you all of 15 minutes, which I still consider a lunch-break install. Now, since this is a Raxiom product, you do have the benefit of their industry leading 2-year warranty, just for a little added peace of mind. So if you're looking to add some modern LED lighting either to your factory, or aftermarket headlights, then be sure to check out Raxiom's Switchback Turn Signal Conversion Kit, right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Ask a Question

Are these compatible with aftermarket lights?

Sergmeister

  • Yes, these are compatibility with most aftermarket headlight's and turn signal/marker lights. We do recommend that they are used with clear turn signal housings. I have found that removing the bumper is the easy way to install headlights and turn signals. You can remove the wheel well liner and go in that way, but your range of motion can be limited.

The resistors should be spliced into what wire for the turn signal lead, positive (+) or negative (-)? I also understand that per a few reviews some of users of this bulb suggest NOT instaling the resistor. Will these bulbs work for my 04 40th Anniversary Edition, and or should I instal the resistors? Which wire to instal on,Possitive (+) or the Negative (-) side of the lead? If I don't instal the resistors will that cause the bulbs to not flash amber?

RaceTar

  • These will work on your car but you will need to use the resistors or a flasher. If you use the resistors connect one wire to the positive and the other wire to the negative. The resistors get warm like a bulb though. If you don't use one or the other your lights will hyper flash like if you have a blown bulb.

What Raxiom headlight and fog light bulbs will best match the colour and appearance of these turn signal lights? I'm looking to get all matching LED lights for the headlights and fog lights of my mustang and would like to know what Raxiom bulbs to get to get the best matching look with this LED turn signal kit

Nateanator

  • I done the 6000k headlight and fog lights and they are awesome. They match perfect and it's probably one of the best mods that I've done so far.

    Clean Look

Love these! It was exactly the look I was going for. It gives off a clean crisp white light which matches the color of my HID perfectly. These bulbs paired with the smoked OEM style headlights are perfect. The switch back between amber and white looks great. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who wants that clean, updated look for their mustang.

    Awesome, Modern Lighting

I wanted something more modern to fit my 6000k HIDs than the standard amber incandescent bulbs. Raxiom had the answer; this product looks awesome, emits brighter light, and is overall VERY eye catching with the switchback multicolor design. The DRLs match perfectly in color with my HIDs, which is exactly what I wanted. Installation was a breeze, the bulbs were just plug-n-play considering that I have an LED-compatible flasher, so the resistors that came with the kit were unnecessary. Also, the color of the amber light may not appeal to some people, and since it has a good amount of red in the light, it won't match the stock amber corner. Excellent product nonetheless, would highly recommend!

    Surprisingly Great Product

The installation was simple..took a maybe a half hour? Spliced right into the turn signal and grounded to a bolt right on the frame, simple. Sometimes Its hard to enjoy something that you usually don't see, but this product stands out so much: say if you're behind a truck or something and you're turning...you'll notice your turn signal reflecting off of this truck and you'll love it every time! I have had multiple people compliment on it and say how they don't see anything like that often. Enjoy!

Sets you apart but be warned

I had these professionally installed when I had halo foglights installed to match the halo headlights. Anyway, the flash of the LED is very bright white. It stays lit white when your parking lights and/or headlights are on. The only issue is the "amber" at night totally looks red. Pairing that with the almost white-blue LED flash, turn your flashers on and everyone will agree it looks like cop lights. But yea it's is definitely more red than amber. There is also mini white flash behind the "amber" when the amber flashes which I think the best way to explain it would be like newer fire-alarms lights in buildings. This might have something to do with my sequential kit and modifier. I'm not sure. They should fix the comments saying you do not have to wire the resistors if you have the raxiom modifier. That is not true or maybe there's more to it but when tried without resistors installed, it fries the bulb. I'm sure someone's saying in their head "we'll you were supposed to.." No, the comments definitely make it seem like you can plug it in without resistors if you have the modifier. Be careful Non the less there are COOL and that's the goal

    (Never gonna) Switchback!

These Switchback LEDs are an incredible product. Installation was as promised; less than 15 minutes. The switch from Bluish-white to deep orange is eye catching. Shipping was FAST. Received the lights a day sooner than expected. These lights, Paired with my Smoked Dual CCFL Halo Headlights and Modified Turn signal regulator by Raxiom, are a unique combination that draw attention. (Picture is posted) Thanks AM for yet another great product!

    Turns heads, don't expect longevity

I have had these lights for awhile and they are great. However, On my drivers side I have about 5 of the leds that flicker, and on the left I have about 6 that are just out. I would love to get replacement bulbs from here, but it is only offered as a complete set with the resistors again.

    Absolutely Awesome

You don't need the resistors if you have the raxiom flasher relay commonly used on the raxiom sequential tail lights, these look great with my mustang and give it that more modern look.. they are also dual purpose for my Mustang as a volunteer fire fighter.. they go well with the emergency lights. two thumbs up for this product.

    Switchback LED's w/Sequential taillights

The switchback LED's DO work with sequential taillights. The resistors have to be wired in correctly, the Raxiom turn signal relay needs to be utilized also. Simple. Great product. 6K color.

    A different, clean look

When the running lights are turned on inside the stock corner lights, the white light produced by these LEDs is very clean and looks great. The LEDs used for turn signaling would look terrific in clear corners, but when used in conjunction with the running lights on, they produce a pinkish light when used in the stock housings. Something I'll need more time to get used to. But the turn signal LEDs by themselves are also very orange and clean. It's just when you activate a blinker while the white running light LEDs are on that things get a little girlish.
