SPEC Billet Aluminum Flywheel (05 - Mid 07 V6)

This flywheel works well for the 2005 to mid year 2007 V6 Mustang. When replacing your stock clutch with a new SPEC clutch in your 2006 V6 Mustang, you must change out your stock flywheel for a new SPEC Flywheel so that the clutch will seat properly. But why just get a basic steel flywheel? Add more rear wheel horsepower by replacing your factory flywheel with an billet aluminum flywheel. SPEC designed this flywheel to get you revving up faster and reduce drive-train loss, resulting in more horsepower to your rear wheels, just by reducing the amount of rotating mass and force it takes to get the flywheel turning.

This SPEC Billet Aluminum Flywheel is the perfect companion for your new SPEC Clutch. CNC machined to an unheard of .001 tollerance (the industry standard is .010), this flywheel is designed to have perfect balance and the best surface for bedding with the new clutch, and is also SFI certified.

The aluminum SPEC units are re-buildable and feature a replaceable steel friction plate that is made from a friction-enhancing steel metal specially formulated for optimum clutch bedding and holding power, so this just might be the last flywheel you will ever have to buy!

Technical Notes:

• This Spec Flywheel is required with the installation of the SPEC Clutch for the 2006 V6 Mustangs
• Mustangs built from beginning production date to December 2006 can use the SPEC SF66 series clutch kit with their stock flywheel or with SPEC Flywheel part# SF66A.
• Mustangs built from January 2007 to June 6th 2007 require the use of SPEC SF66 series clutch kit and SPEC Flywheel part# SF66A.
• Mustangs built from June 6th 2007 to present require the use of SPEC SF66 series clutch kit and SPEC Flywheel part# SF66A-2.
