When you're shopping for a flywheel for your V6 Mustang, a SPEC Billet Aluminum flywheel is pounds lighter than your stock flywheel, meaning less rotational mass and less time and effort to get your flywheel moving when you romp on it at the starting line. The result? Your peak horsepower is delivered faster with lightning-fast throttle response and class-winning quick shifts.

Protects Your Investment. When replacing your clutch you have two options: resurfacing your old flywheel, or getting a new flywheel. Most times, getting a new flywheel is better than resurfacing, as the flywheel will dictate how well your clutch will perform, as well as how long it will last.

SFI Certified. If you're using this flywheel in high performance or racing applications, SFI Certification is critical so you can run your Pony at the track or strip. And it's great for peace of mind even in a daily driver - at higher RPMs, stock cast flywheels have been known to explode.

Application. This SPEC aluminum flywheel is designed for use on the 2011 to 2014 V6 Mustangs with the 3.7L Ti-VCT engine .

Is it a DMF? Hey guys, Forgive my noobness - just bought an 11 V6 when my car got totaled a couple months ago, so I'm learning. Anyway, long story short, clutch was blown due to what sounds like pressure plate failure - it's in the shop as I type this. The shop is quoting me $2,000 for a clutch, pressure plate, and dual-mass flywheel replacement, with labor included in that quote. Allegedly, they'll be ordering the DMF directly from Ford. How does that quote sound to you? I ask on here because if this is a DRMF and it's <$500 and a clutch kit on AM is ~$600, I'm wondering if I'm getting gouged... If this is a SMF, how does a SMF compare to using a DMF? Any and all help is appreciated!

    Should Be Included In Perf Package

    Eliminates the resonance in the mid 2K range that all V6 MT drivers get. No more shifting up to drop the rpm down below the resonance, and then having to shift back down if you want some HP. The heavier stock dual mass flywheel gives smoother engagement and slightly less vibration at idle, but if you like performance, you've got to have this. It can be used with the GT factory clutch, (and maybe give you a bit smoother engagement) but the SPEC Stage 1 clutch will feel more positive. I was going to wait until I had 1 or 2k miles, but it is clear from the first day, YES.

    2012 Procharged V6

    Installed this flywheel along with an exedy stage 3 clutch, took me all day in my driveway on jack stands with the help of a friend. Finally all came together and have over 3,000 miles on this combo. I am very happy with it, car seems to rev up a little quicker, but most of all major diveline vibrations are gone, especially on decel. The dual mass flywheel that comes on the 3.7s is an unbalanced mess. If you need to pull your transmission for any reason.... install this new flywheel and your golden. Very happy with this upgrade, and I no longer have to worry about snapping the stock flywheel on a hard launch like others have.

    Great upgrade when changing clutch

    I would not say that this should be done without changing out the clutch just because it is an involved process enough to wear a new clutch coupled with this mod will get a better and snappier feel and launch

    perfect fit

    I had this item installed with my stec stage 1 clutch on my car. they make the perfect pair. would happily buy again if i had to get another flywheel
