Perfect spacing for 94-98 guys

1" is all us 94-98 guys need to get even with the front wheels, but not stick out so much that the fender cuts up your tires on big bumps. Did not have to cut my stock studs with my 99/01 Cobra wheels.

These are perfect to get rid of the horrible tucked in look for the rear wheels. Not sure why AM says they won't fit stock wheels when I used them on my stock gts wheels and now my stock mach 1 wheels.

  • I was worried about the same thing. I have a 2001 Mustang GT. After the spacers arrived I took the rear wheels off and mounted the spacers. I noticed the lug nut( included with the spacers ) was sticking out past the spacer about 1/4 inch. The wheels from my GT has sections cut out ( maybe just for this reason ) and the lug nuts fit right inside them. I just mounted the wheels and it looks awesome. Check the inside of your wheel where the lug nuts would be and see if there are spaces cut out. If it's flat then I doubt they'll work without modifying the wheel. Hopefully they'll have the spaces needed.

Front wheel spacers I want all four wheels, however the issue and reason I need these is not soley due to e looks, but is in fact purposeful. My tubular a-arms are rubbing on my wheels when I make a 75% or larger turn(metal on metal is not good). Thus I want to know what size wheel spacer is the largest I can run on my car or what AM recommends? I will measure on a rack next week, but also can I run just front wheel spacers for a few days without the rears without issues? I may need to titrate to the desired spacer width and just want to know if I can do these things prior to purchase. I think 1 inch/25mm will be the ticket but need some advice. Thanks Justin.

  • You can run spacers on the front and not the back. It will appear a little odd and expect increased over steer. 1" (25.4mm) offers the most width.

  • These spacers will work when combined with aftermarket wheels on all 1994-present Mustangs, as well as 87-93 Foxbody Mustangs with a5-Lug conversion. These spacers are not designed to work with stock, factory wheels unfortunately!

    Perfect spacing for 94-98 guys

    April 10, 2010

1" is all us 94-98 guys need to get even with the front wheels, but not stick out so much that the fender cuts up your tires on big bumps. Did not have to cut my stock studs with my 99/01 Cobra wheels. They're 17x8's with 255 series tires and they do not look "ghetto" or "too skinny" by any means. Very tasteful and high quality mod.

    Satisfied!

    June 11, 2010

I went back and forth for a long time about whether or not to buy these spacers. I just didn't know how they would look or whether I would like them. Finally I caved and bought them. All I have to say is that I should have gotten these a LONG time ago. The rear end looks a lot meaner now. I don't know why I doubted....handling increases are marginal, but noticeable, but handling shouldn't be the reason you get these anyway. Oh, and I received them in 2 days, too. Overall, I'm very satisfied!!

1" Billet Wheel Spacer - 2011 GT (They work)

    January 02, 2011

I wanted the staggered look and am too cheap to buy new wheels and tires soooo... wheel spacers. However, everything listed on the AM website says these won't work on a 2011 GT. I purchased these xpecting to have to cut my stock studs but I quickly realized if you own factory (optional) 19" wheels, these spacers will indeed work and work perfectly with no alterations. If you have the optional 19" wheels, buy in confidence.

Great Spacing, But Not Hub Centric

    August 14, 2010

Dramatically improves looks, but these are not hub centric, they gave my car a small vibration so I took them off.

Looks great, but i had to call everyone i know to get a saw to cut off the stock lug that stuck out past the spacer. Other than that worked great!

    LOOKS great

    May 11, 2011

These give your car the best look for the best price. Instead of buying a new rim that is 1 inch wider, you could go with these. The only issue I had was I had a loarge order and everything seemed to have a great quality. These came in a crappy smashed box with nothing written on it. Now, I am OK with that, but they just don't look like something I'd trust to take me on a long road trip. A lot of folks with old classic cars stress not to use spacers because they break. These make the tires look great, but if they broke I would not be suprised.

    Additional spacers needed

    September 10, 2010

when bolted on, stock lugs extend past new spacer plate. Need additional 1/4" spacers to compensate. Can pick up a 2 pk for apx., $20 @ any auto store.Do not exceed 1-1/4". Top of tire sits just behind top of wheel well. Any additional spacer will push the wheel past the vehicle frame. Very nice quality product, gives some additional beef to the rear...Beats the cost of wider rims / wheels. Once again NICE PRODUCT A M
