Added Safety. This BMR Front Driveshaft Safety Loop is NHRA legal to safely contain your Mustang's driveshaft in place in the event of a U-joint or driveshaft failure that could other wise cause your pony to flip over. The NHRA requires the use of a driveshaft safety loop on vehicles running 12.99 or faster in the quarter mile.

Quality Construction. Made in the USA from 1/4" x 2" steel plate for strength, this front Safety Loop is then completed with a long-lasting black hammer-tone powdercoat finish, and is designed to be an easy bolt-on using existing mounting holes, no welding or drilling is required.

Application. The BMR Suspension Front Driveshaft Safety Loop is designed to fit all 2005 to 2010 Mustangs, including the V6, GT, Bullitt, and Shelby GT500 models.

Technical Note. This Safety Loop may require modifications when used in conjunction with a Long Tube Header and Shorty X-pipe combination.

    This product is well constructed.

The BMR driveshaft safety loop is a very well constructed safety product and I am sure it was designed to be installed on a stock Mustang GT. This product was purchased to be installed on a 2007 Mustang GT equipped with Kooks 1-3/4" long tube headers and 3" off road X-Pipe. I had the safety loop installed at the same time as the aluminum driveshaft to reduce installation cost. Due to the 3" X-Pipe being larger in diameter than the stock 2-1/2" X-Pipe, the safety loop tube length had to be shortened by 1" to prevent the X-Pipe and safety loop tube from rubbing up against each other. I believe I read this same issue in another review, but I liked the design of the product and accepted the fact that if it didn't fit I could have it modified, that is what hot rodding is all about.

    Peace of Mind

Installed this safety loop after a clutch installation while the driveshaft was removed. Not tricks to installation so the directions that come with the part suffice. The product seems stout and the driveshaft ends up being well centered in the loop after installation so fitment is very good. Nothing to report during normal operation of the vehicle on the street. This product isn't really designed for performance gain so I put average.

    Great product, easy install

Took me just under two hours to install in my garage with car on jack stands. Very straight forward and easy with simple hand tools. I already had a one piece drive shaft and it fit well with plenty of clearance. A must have if you drag race.
