Mellow V8 Sound. The Borla Touring Axle-back will give you high performance without the roar. The high flow Touring Mufflers will give your Mustang a deep, throaty mellow sound that is quiet when compared to other Borla mufflers, but is louder than the stock exhaust making them perfect for the sleeper crowd.

High Quality Construction. Constructed from 2.5" mandrel bent stainless steel tubing to improve exhaust flow the Borla axle-back exhaust system features two turbo style "Touring" mufflers with 4" polished stainless steel slanted tips for impressive good looks and sound.

Application. This Borla Touring Axle-Back exhaust is designed to fit the 2005-2009 GT, and 2008-2009 Bullitt Mustangs with the 3 valve 4.6L engine.

Technical Note: Americanmuscle recommends adding the 2005+ Mustang 304 Stainless Steel Exhaust Hanger Kit from the drop down option above, to provide more strength, stability and a cleaner installed appearance. If you have a 2007 Mustang you may need the kit for correct installation.

Not too loud but not stock

Installed these along with a CAI tuner. I followed the instructions and installation was pretty straightforward, and I'm no mechanic lol. I read on forums where these were too quiet like stock, but to me they're not. They provide a low rumble on idle, good feedback on acceleration and you can really hear them at WOT. The rest of the time they're quiet with no drone. As the car is for the wife primarily then me, the sound is perfect. These were mounted to stock exhaust, no headers, long pipes, etc.

I have off road X pipe .so no cats. I tried two other axel back's way to loud! With the borlas cold start sounds like 600 horse heads turn. idles down to a nice rumble.driving around town casually sounds mean but veary respectfull.Wont get you a ticket. Put your foot to the floor you will smile ear to ear end wake the dead! I have A/T and no drone. And no crackling when gearing down.Verry nice sound and craftsmanship .4inch miter cut and rolled tips fill the bumper cut outs perfect. Only regret is I didn't by them the first time.

    Love the Borla Tourning!!

Just installed the Axle Back Borla Touring on my 2007 Steeda. Absolutely love the deep rich tone! The car has long tube Headers and an Xpipe. Had Pypes muffles and was way to loud with really annoying drone. The Borla's have a great sound through the power curve but no drone inside at all...None. Really pleased with these and with the American Muscle service. Thanks team!

Nice sounding pony for the ole man

Recently changed my 05 6 popper to duel exhaust and Flowmaster's 40's. Sounded really good but a touch loud and not that much more in power. Already had installed an Airrid CAI, BBK 70m tb, Accel coil pack, 10m Live Wires, NGK iridium plugs and a Diablo Sports tune set at 91 octane. So I decided to go all out for the exhaust - BBK shorty ceramic headers, BBK high flow cats and the Borla Touring cat back system. The complete exhaust system took me and a buddy right at 3 hours to install. Just driving normally it sounds like it's purring but jump down on the throttle and the sound is more like a European roaring sports car. With the added horse power I'm glad I upped the wheels to 18x10's with 275x40 tires because you could diffidently wear out a set of stock tires with this setup. Highly recommend these mufflers to anyone looking for more hp without the loudness.

Great Muscle Car Sound for Daily Driving

I put this axle-back system on my V6 Mustang with an air intake, JBA Shorty headers, and a custom x-pipe. Sounds great, has absolutely no drone, and is perfect for daily driving. For my car, it has a V8 tone without it sounding like a "wanna-be" V8; just a good muscle car tone under decent acceleration. Would sound even better on Mustang GT's. Definitely recommend it.

    Great Tone

I put this package on my 2005 V6 Mustang that has an intake, JBA Shorty headers, and a custom x-pipe, and they sound great. Good muscle car tone, but isn't overpowering. Nice and quiet during regular driving, but sounds powerful under decent acceleration. Definitely recommend it for somebody who doesn't want a cheap sounding system with drone.

    Boris Touring

Got these to replace the FR500s as they were way too loud with my Detroit Rocker Cam and headers. These were exactly what I was hoping for. Nice rumble but nothing obnoxious! Sounds like a true muscle car...certainly no regrets!!
