Ford Motorcraft OEM Fuel Filter (05-10 All)

Must be one of the most simple Do-It-Yourself swaps possible. Under the driver side of the car, undo a few snaps and bolts holding the skid plate. Then pinch the green buttons on both fuel line connections to the filter. Make sure the filter is oriented in the correct direction, reattach the lines, bolts and snaps for the skid plate, and your done. BUT make sure to prime the fuel pump before starting the car. Do this my turning the key in the ignition to the "On" position, NOT the "Start" position. Repeat 2-3 times and you'll be able to hear the pump pressurizing. After that, your good to go. I'll be sure to do this myself from now on.

    OEM fuel filter

I just replaced my fuel filter on my 05 GT as preventative maintenance. Even though after 32k miles the fuel coming out of the filter was clear as day, but blowing through the filter was quite difficult. Replacing the filter every 30k miles is $15 well spent.

    OEM Motorcraft Fuel Filter.

American Muscle makes getting Ford Motorcraft parts fast, simple, and easy! If you don’t mind waiting couple days for free shipping it’s more afford then going to your local Ford dealership spending $20+ on same part. I always prefer to order online with American Muscle it’s simple and easy to use web site. If you have questions or concerns it’s simple phone call or e-mail away. Save yourself the hassle of overpaying at dealership and dealing with grouchy part counter guys that never appreciate your business. Thanks AM!

05-09 mustang gt OEM fuel filter

Arrived really fast and engine is running a lot cleaner now. 42,000 and the old filter had dark brown gas coming out of it. Thanks for the fast service.

Definately do this yourself!! Especially at higher miles. Super easy!!

This is so easy to install, its crazy. I did mine and all the old gas that came out was brown. I have 84000 on my 06 GT. Well worth the money and there is no point in paying a dealer/shop to do it. 2 bolts, 1 plastic push screw and 2 clips on the filter itself. Thats all!

    Fuel Filter

This was a very simple install that saved me $25 from having to have it done at the dealership. Just make sure you are ready for some minor fuel spray when you disconnect the old filter. Shipping was very fast also.

    Absolute Must!!

Do Not WAIT!! I did mine just over 60k. BAD IDEA! The photo of the filter in the plastic box is mine. Clean fuel came from the tank, this is what poured out from the filter!! I WILL be changing every 15k from this point forward. For $18 bucks, that's just over a $1 per 1000 miles WELL WORTH IT!! (Prior to changing) Peddle to the medal shifting I was having "hesitation" of sorts. After changing, my pony goes up or down through the gears like a champ and doesn't miss a beat.
