harder to install than the manual made it out to be

    May 08, 2013

This was an installation nightmare. still haven't even wired it yet. They have you attach this little prebent line and you have to take off the the front brake line going to your master cylinder. But there are 2 big lines below it. Well my problem was the front brake line would not go down far enough for me to make the connection to the hurst brake lock solenoid. So I endedup haveing to remove the whole brake line. The manual made it look an install easy.

    Time saving, clean installation - 2008 GT / 427R

    September 19, 2014

If roll control is what your Mustang needs, this is THE kit. This kit is specifically designed to fit in the close quarters of a Mustang engine compartment despite the other stuff in the way. Once the installation is completed, there is about 1/4" clearance between the solenoid bracket and the valve cover, so having the preformed stainless steel lines with all the correct adapters saves significant time and effort for even die-hard do-it-yourself-ers like me. Consider routing and attaching the solenoid wiring before mounting the assembled bracket to the master cylinder mount bolt since there is little room to work with wiring once the hardware is in place. Even though a good activation button comes with the package, consider buying a shift knob with a button for activation when you buy the kit since that will put the control at your fingertips.

    Good Deal

    July 24, 2014

Haven't installed it yet, but it looks great. The box was dented in when it arrived, but it the product doesn't look damaged in any way. Haven't installed it yet, but having everything pre-bent is well worth the price imo.

Hold the button and watch your tires burn

    January 25, 2014

The Hurst Line Lock was a fairly easy install. The only thing that was a bit difficult was the fitment of the brake line. The bends were a little off so I had to slightly bend them to make it fit. Other than that the product works great. Very easy to use and great for the track.

    Line Lock Saves Your Brakes

    May 29, 2013

The Hurst Line Lock kit is an easy install in about 4 hours. Directions are easy to follow with very good pictures and diagrams. This is a must if you are going to race your Mustang to heat the tires or just to do burnouts to impress. No more foot brake burnouts which will save your rear brake pads. I little grinding helps with the fit of the mounting plate to the master cylinder. Also helps to grind a small amount near the valve cover if you want a little more clearance. All in all a really good product.

    Has a number of uses

    January 04, 2013

In addition to the obvious use of holding the front brakes on while doing a burnout, the Hurst Line Loc has a couple of other uses, It is great for holding the vehicle stationary on a hill while letting the clutch out. The car behind appreciates not being rolled into. I also wired my 2 stage rev limiter to the Line Loc button on my shifter. This prevents over revving during a burnout. I now can floor the gas pedal after staging at the dragstrip without having to watch the tach while waiting for the "go" light
