will these fit with a coil over kit

  • According to maximum motorsports, yes. There's a specific kit for these shocks to convert them to coilovers.

Which parts from the old strut do we need to use? e.g. dust cover spacers etc.

  • Bump stops, dust cover, top mounts if not using CC plates.

Makes the mustang an actual sports car

Improves the handling so much I have no idea why I didn't do it sooner. I have a '03 mustang gt. The only suspension mod I had before these shocks are the sr performance lowering springs. The springs gave the mustang a slightly firmer (barely noticeable) ride. This left the car with a great stance (the way it should have looked from the factory) but the same squishy ride. Wanting a more sporty feel, I decided to buy these shocks. Why I didn't do it sooner is beyond me. It makes the car feel like a sports car. My girl has a Mini Cooper with the sport suspension package and it handles almost as good as that. And thats saying a lot because that thing handles like a go kart. I've left all 4 sides on the softest setting. I haven't tried any other setting because it made my car feel exactly like I wanted it to. Not too firm or soft. Sporty. Perfect. Don't hesitate buying these. You won't regret it one bit. I did also get the maximum motorsports cc plates when I got the springs.

I got these on clearance so for the price I paid the handling gains are amazing. Install was straight forward and the fact that they are adjustable is also handy

    Yellow Sport Shocks

Ride is a little bumpier than I like. Having said that, I'm not sure there are a lot of aftermarket shocks that will give you that "like new" ride. If you like diving into corners, these are excellent shocks.

You get more than you pay for

I'm very impressed with the ride and the ability to adjust the firmness. If you buy one that's not adjustable, you're stuck with it till next time. No thanks!

    Great Struts!

Made huge difference in ride/handling of my 95 gt. Lowered with 1.5 inch bbks springs all around and these struts are set up perfect for the lowered stance. Bit of money but was a great purchase in the end.

    Koni shocks

These are real easy to install with proper tools and don't take much time at all. Couple hours for me in the garage with hand tools. The ones I replaced were stock so this was huge improvement for drive ability and handling. I also installed steeda caster camber plates( I have it lowered and never replace those) and it looked awesome! The adjustable knobs that comes with it are simple and easy to use. You can adjust them in seconds. They are expensive but you get what you pay for and these are great quality product, I originally wanted the bilstiens but they re not adjustable and would be racing SCCA and daily driving. Happy with the purchase

    Perfect Strut for Every Drive

These struts firm up the suspension, reduce body roll, and smooth out bumps in the road. The adjustability of these struts means you can go from daily driving with the potholes and road seams to full firm for smooth roads and race tracks in a matter of minutes. I love the way they have changed the suspension characteristics of my mustang, not a single down side of installing these struts. The only issue was with the installation itself. It seemed like the mounting bracket was slightly too narrow to fit easily over the spindle strut mount on one side. Still got it done in just a few hours, including taking pics for the install guide.

    Happy with Konis.

Absolutely happy with these Koni shocks and struts. The handling is improved and the ride is better than with my stock shocks and struts. The car is lowered 1.5 inches and it used to bottom out on the rear pinion snuber going over bumps or rough road but no more with these Konis. I have them set on full soft for the street so the ride is still very good, not choppy or rough. Konis are the best shocks and struts for these Mustangs, I know this may be a bold statement as I haven't tried any of the other brands available for our cars but I can't imagine any of them being better than Konis.

Great struts replace my strange front struts! These are a way better product ride quality is suberb over them and the top mount adjustable feature is way better than the lower ones so you don't have to climb under your car. All in all easy install great product and will buy again!

The specs on the spindle mounts are so tight (and wrong) that you have to file down the inner strut spindle mount surfaces to get it to slide on to the spindle itself. Shaving some off the spindle helps too. Get a large file set with handle, a chunk of 2x4 and a 4# or 3# persuader hammer before you even start this project. Get them now before you even order them. What should have been fun has become a bit of a chore.

Why would you NOT buy Koni's?

Install is no more difficult than any cheap strut. With the aggressive sale pricing offered by American Muscle, it was a no-brained to choose these "Yellow" adjustable Koni's over any other gas-pressurized front strut. Ride and handling is in another world compared to whatever it was I pulled off of this newly purchased '01 GT. I've used Koni Yellow adjustable's on 3 different vehicles now. Short of a coil-over conversion, there isn't a better riding / handling shock built.

    spend the money for Koni

By far the best set of struts I have had in my daily driven drag ready mustang. Perfect to adjust for driving to the track, and easy to change to a 90/10 when you get there. No more bounce of the line, better reaction times better 60 foot times, all around a great product and worth every penny. If it can keep my 700hp vert planted, it will keep yours to.
