Review & Install Video

Hey everyone Justin with AmericanMuscle.com here taking a look at these stylish low profile mud flaps for your 05-09 Mustang GT. Now I know what you’re thinking, I drive a Mustang, not a big rig, right? I get it, but believe me, these are not your one size fits all truck stop variety, this is a quality part. These splash guards are a great way to keep dirt, debris, and rubber off your ride and protect your paint from any possible chips. The best part, you can hardly tell they’re there. The flaps themselves are constructed from a durable ABS plastic and as you can see, are perfectly cut to match your Mustang’s wheel wells. Installation is a breeze and should take you no more than 20 minutes using standard hand tools. I noticed that some of you on the site have mentioned how well these perform when it comes to keeping your car clean, especially when you’re running a wider rear wheel and tire combination, kind of like we have on our 06 GT here. We’ve got the 19” TSW’s with the big beefy 275 on there. As you can see, the quarter panels are clean as can be. So if you’re looking for an easy, and budget minded way to protect your paint while making a very small impact on styling, you’ll definitely want to check out a set of these mud flaps for your 05-09 GT.

Style and Protection. Now you can add extra style and protection to your Pony at the same with a set of Splash Guards. Splash Guards a.k.a. Mud Flaps are a great way to protect your Mustangs paint from road debris.

Durable Plastic. These durable plastic Splash Guards are perfectly cut to the shape of your Mustangs wheel well for a great fit.

Fitment. This set of four mud flaps are designed to fit the front and rear of the 2005 to 2009 GT & Bullitt Ford Mustang.

    Easy install, but overpriced

I decided to install these after getting tired cleaning my rocker panels virtually everyday - lots of puddle around here right now due to the melting snow. The product is precisely made, and the install is super easy, but... $80? They are even not a premium plastic like some factory ones I've installed on import. I recommend them because they look fine when installed and appear to be the best option available, but are far too expensive. (I don't mind paying for good quality products, btw, and based on the other reviews here I knew what I was getting, so it was not a surprise. But I would just say, these are simply overpriced.)

    Very Good Splash Guards

I was hesitant to pay the higher price but after putting them on the Mustang They look and work great. I have driven around town and on the highway and the doors and fenders are not getting that black road dust on them like they were. Also been through construction with tar and no tar on the paint like in the past. The cost is worth me not having to clean the tar off the car during the summer. Also I can see how these can protect against paint chips. Also like others have said they are stealthy. To me this set is well worth the money! For those worried about the back falling off I used a little clear silicon on the top and bottom in the j channel on the splash guards back side not paint side and they are very secure. I put the silicon on after they were installed.

'06 GT Jaeger bros. mud flaps

Just a few minutes to install and I didn't have to remove the wheel, which is a plus. Didn't think much of them out of the box, but they look great on the car. Yes they are a little pricey, but it is a patented, U.S. made product which I am happy to pay a little more for. All in all a very good product Thanks American Muscle.

    Nice Flaps!

Fast installation.......It took me longer to find a screw driver to pop the trim tabs than it did to install these mub flaps. Fit and finish is nicer than the OEM. Great product............

    Fantastic for the car

I was not thrilled about putting these on but they are hardly noticeable. Keeps the car cleaner with the wider tires.

    05-09 mud flaps

good quality - i like the gasket feature where the flap meets the fender - but like the others mention, they are pricey. install is extremely easy, had them on in minutes. one downside is that the back set just slip on - little worried about theft, but overall glad i got them.

    Mud Flaps

I would have to agree with some of the other reviews, they arrived quickly and were a breeze to install. It took less than 5 minutes. But I do agree with some of the comments about being slightly pricey for what they are. Not poor construction just not a high end mud flap.

    Flaps

When I first saw them I wasn't thrilled but after I put them on they look good, gave it something different. I have the 18x10's in the rear and I don't get anymore splash on my rear end. They work awesome and I highly recomend them cause nobody likes paint chips.

    eh

Didnt feel it was work 80 dollars, quite flimsy and rears are not "really" fastened on. you may be able to produce a better set in your garage for half the cost. nevertheless functional..... if the stay on.

    Good but Pricey

They seem fine, rear set only clips on so time will tell if they stay on. After shipping and conversion to Canadian they were $150.00, probably the most expensive mud flaps I have ever bought, for 70 US they are a fair deal but beware if you are outside of the US as you will be disappointed in the quality vs $ paid.

    Hi Speed, Lo Drag Installation

This product is just as described. The installation instructions were spot on, and the actual installation took only a few minutes. They are discreet and don't draw attention to themselves (they are splash guards!). I would highly recommend to anyone.
