Improves Handling. Installing a set of progressive rate Ford Racing N-Springs will lower your Pony's center of gravity, which will reduce squat during acceleration, body roll in the corners, and excessive nose-dive under hard braking. Ford Racing N-Springs are great for daily driving, street, and even occasional track use.

Aggressive Stance. The Ford Racing N-Springs not only improve the handling of your V6 S197 Mustang, but they also improve the overall appearance by lowering the ride height approximately 1.25" to eliminate that nasty raised 4x4 truck look for a more aggressive muscle car stance.

Clears Stock and Aftermarket Wheels & Tires. These lowering springs were engineered to be compatible with your stock size wheels and tires, as well as AmericanMuscle’s pre-configured wheel and tire combo kits (specific to your generation), to assure proper clearance with no rubbing issues.

Application. This set of four Ford Racing N-Springs are specifically designed for use on the 2005 to 2010 V6 Mustangs Coupes. They will also fit 2011 and newer V6 Coupes when used in combination with Ford Racing M-18183-C upper strut mounts and M-18000-A dampers. Does not fit convertible models.

Do I need an adjustable panhard bar with these springs? With only a 1.24" drop do I really need an adjustable panhard bar? Can I still use the stock shocks and struts? I was planning on getting the upgraded GT500 strut mounts anyway but do I really need those as well?

Imjackswastedlife

  • An adjustable panhard bar in not required, but if you do get one it will improve your ride quality. You can use shock struts and shocks with this springs, but if you are planning to upgrade to the GT500 stut mounts now would be the time. Depending on your budget, but it will save you in some labor cost to get it all done at once.

Camber adjustment? Do the Ford lowering spring require camber adjustment bolts like the Eibachs do? I would assume the same would apply since the drops are similar?

LandToSea

  • Correct. Regardless of spring brand or year/model Mustang, any suspension drop over 1" will require camber adjustments for proper alignment!

N springs Is it possible to put these springs on a gt? If not can you explain.

HighlanderLvN

  • Possible? Absolutely. They have the exact same suspension setup. They're for the V6 because it's lighter and doesn't compress springs as much as a GT does. If you put these springs on a GT, the car will be somewhat undersprung (you'll notice it as a floaty sensation) and the car will drop more.

With stock dampers? Ford recommends changing the shocks and struts when using these springs on the 2014 V6. Is anyone using the stock dampers with these springs? Is there a performance or comfort advantage to using a different set up?

Davesnothere

  • For anything 2011 or newer, the Ford Performance Lowering N-Springs - Coupe (05-14 V6) will only work with the addition of Ford Racing M-18183-C upper strut mounts and M-18000-A dampers.

2013 performance package & Supercharger Would these be considered a big upgrade to the tuned suspension on my 13 performance package and also, would you recommend upgrading to gt springs due to the higher output from the supercharger or will sticking to v6 springs be best for my car's overall performance?

DJ1234

  • You want to stick with V6 springs still, but it will just be a matter of what kind of spring you are looking for. For instance, the Ford Performance Lowering N-Springs - Coupe (05-14 V6) have a progressive spring rate. Your other option would be to find a spring with a standard spring rate. One isn't necessarily better than the other, it is all personal preference. However, These N-Springs will most certainly do the trick if you stick with them.

With research, I have heard it isn't necessary to get a panhard bar or after market struts/shocks with these N springs because the inch drop isn't that low. I'm assuming I'll still have to get an alignment, but what is your opinion?

Bryan

  • If you are purchasing the Ford Performance Lowering N-Springs - Coupe (05-14 V6), you will need to get an alignment to your Mustang. Also, you will not need to get an aftermarket panhard bar or shocks/struts but I would recommend looking into purchasing Maximum Motorsports Caster Camber Plates (11-14 GT, V6, BOSS) item #47028 (www.americanmuscle.com/mm-caster-camber-plates-2011.html) to adjust your vehicle for it's new ride height. That will also help your treadwear of your tires because the lowered stance will change the center of weight distribution.

because it is ford racing the fitment is perfect and makes for an easy install, though the price is cheaper than eibach and steeda springs do know that this only drops 1.25" tops....the drop is perfect for someone like me who isnt so good with curbs.....the drop is JUST keeps your ride tall enough not to scrape on most parking spots....that being said i still wish i had gone ahead and got the eibachs and the 2.5" drop just for apperance purposes, if your like me and are majorly concerned about scapeing the bottom of your car than these springs are perfect for you and you will enjoy them and the drop is some-what noticeable....but if you want that sweet low appereance than you need to step up to the eibachs just watch those curbs when your parking!!!!

    Nice stance

I got my springs done about 2 months ago and you can difinately feel the difference in handling. It rides still pretty good on bumpy roads. I love the most is the stance of the car. When you get it done you can notice about what they tell you on the box drop but once you break them in all the way you get a little lower. The handling is better I can hit turns a lot faster and still be in control. Good job to ford racing

These springs were great. It took me no time to install with the help from AM. At first i didnt notice a diffrence in the stance of my mustang, but after putting 100 miles on the spring the car sat much lower and looked way better also it now handles 100 times better than stock. I paired these with a set of bilstein hd shocks/struts and have a firm but smooth ride. Well worth the price

    Good look and better handling

It was a challenge for me get it installed. I got buy jack stands (only 2 is enough). Did front wheels first, one side at a time. You will need at least one of those big set of tools. They say you can do it with regular tools, but it turns out you can't. Watched 2, 3 videos from different guys on Youtube.

    Love the new springs!!!

So when I went to pick the car up I almost had a heart attack because it looked exactly the same as before. The next day, however, they settled quite nicely. As others have said its not super low. Although with my car it seems to have brought the back end down a ton, to where its almost level from front to back. I do have subs in the trunk so it may have gone a little lower than others from the weight. Handling is awesome on the street, I can floor it out of turns and I can barely tell I lost traction, its always under complete control. Love it! Speed bumps are not a problem with these springs. I was scared of that before I bought these, and nobody really addressed that point either.

    Great ride quality

This springs are reasonably priced and ride excellent over my stock springs. The only complaint i have is that they did not lower my car 1.25 in the front. The front was lowered about .75 of an inch over my stock springs and i wished i went with 1.5 springs. They took me about an hour and 20 minutes to install at my shop and was the easiest install of springs i ever done. Wished if was lower but i will probably buy some springs else where next time.

lowering springs For my mustang 07

This was a great buy, I was looking for the right springs that will lower my car, but not lower it too much that i have to worry about driving on the roads around my area. AM, are the best in making sure they explain the products well and also the shipping is great being fast and on time, I highly recommend these springs for anybody that wants to have a sweet ride on the roads, and making their stang have a mean stance as well.

Designed for my car by Ford

I wanted a matched suspension set up specifically designed for the V6 Mustang, and I had to work on a reasonable budget. I liked that Ford Performance covered everything from the struts to the springs to the GT500 strut mounts. This isn't a set up for the GT that is "also okay" for the V6 Mustang. This is a complete set up for the V6 Mustang for under a grand. I coupled this with Steeda front and rear sway bars and some scha-weeet AM wheels, and a full set of Continental tires. The car looks amazing, rides like it's on rails, with minimal loss of ride comfort. Heck, the car rode too soft for my tastes anyway. Now it's locked in and hooks up, a real joy to drive. The install package included everything you need to complete the job, including nuts and bolts. Order the Dynamic Struts and shocks, the 5300-N springs, the GT500 upper strut mounts as a package, and transform the way your car rides for a price that won't bust your budget, steal from your kid's college fund or get you in trouble with your wife. Do it once, do it right. Buy this package.

    Amazing!!!

I installed these lowering springs with a set of yellow koni's. It's like driving a new car. The car handles much better and the rear end is no longer unpredictable. The springs don't give you a huge drop if that is what you are looking for. I got almost an inch drop all around. installation wasn't difficult but it was time consuming.

    FR N-Spring Review

While these springs are more expensive than aftermarket brands Ford Racing has done a great job of fine tuning these springs making them fit and feel perfect for the V6 Mustang. Personally I didn't want to car lowered too drastically and these springs did the job perfectly giving the car the perfect stance. My car was lowered as advertised. Just about 1.25" all the way around (possibly more in the rear). These springs level the car and give it the proper Mustang stance. Looks aren't all though, on stock shocks and struts these springs make the ride quality slightly more firm but also more comfortable and forgiving than before all while drastically improving the car's handling. The springs alone eliminate the float and body roll of the stock suspension extremely well and really allow the car to come alive. I highly recommend these springs to any 11-14 V6 owner. Install should be easy for an experienced wrencher however a shop should install them for right around $100 to $200.
