Will this work with the factory reverse camera? I bough my 2013 with the reverse camera and the lense is mounted in the factory spoiler.... doese this spoiler have provisions for the camera?

Does the Gurney flap detach from this spoiler or is it molded in.

    • Unfortunately the gurney flap is molded into this spoiler. It does not detach. One more detail to take into consideration when you purchase your pre-painted part is that the flap will be the same color as the rest of the spoiler and will thus not be black.

Review from 3dCarbon GT500 Style Spoiler - Unpainted (10-14 All)

Nice speedy delivery. Only took 3 days. I bought mine unpainted as with my car being candy apple red I knew I would be risking the color not matching with living in Florida! On opening the spoiler looks pretty cheap and not very impressive, but done let looks decive you. After getting it painted it looks epic! I asked the body shop to paint the gurney flap satin black like the GT500, they nailed it! Could not be more pleased, I think it finishes the S197 off so well as the front is so aggressive and the rear a little soft in styling in my opinion. This spoiler completes the look very well!

      GT500 Spoiler

The spoiler totally transforms the look of your mustang. It is such a simple installation. Removal involves a couple of fasteners (plastic) and four nuts, the hard part is separating the old spoiler from the trunk. I just lifted the old spoiler along all the edges until it broke from the double sided tape holding it on. Using some goo gone or glue removal aided in removing the old tape from the trunk. Once the new one is installed, you'll smile, what a difference! I had the small spoiler on a 2014, this one makes your stang stand out, can't go wrong with this mod.

      Spoiler looks hot!

Just installed this on my '11 Kona Blue GT. Spoiler arrived in perfect condition. The pre-painted finish matched my car very well. As everyone says, the real booger with this install is getting the factory spoiler off. The installation directions are a little confusing at first-a tip here- us the AM directions, not those supplied by the manufacturer, and you will be fine. Overall I am very pleased with this upgrade- looks kick-*** on my car.

      Great look!

Added to my 2010 V6 and looks great! My Mustang is a base coupe and didn't have a spoiler at all. This added a fantastic look to the car and the install was easy. I'm a novice and just followed the instruction, drilled 4 holes through the truck and attached the spoiler with the four nuts.

From stock OEM blah to American Muscle WOW in under an hour!

My spoiler arrived in perfect condition. Packaging and condition of box upon arrival A+ Condition of spoiler A+ Hardware A+ Instructions A (last step talks about installing the grille? Typo?) Paint match A++ The hardest part about this install is removing the factory spoiler, if so equipped. The factory must have used Superman's personal superglue as it did not want to budge. But after some gentle prying and using a razor blade to carefully cut the factory tape as carefully as possible, it finally started to move enough to get at the rest of the tape and cut it. It is best to have someone hold one end of the spoiler while carefully lifting as you trim the factory tape. Cleaning the residue off is another trick. After fighting using alcohol pads, straight rubbing alcohol and rags, I finally just resorted to using my fingers and palms to apply pressure and frictional heat to "roll" the factory tape off the trunk lid. That actually worked perfectly. A heat gun or hair dryer might have sped up the process. One bit of advice, use caution when removing the 10mm nuts from the OEM spoiler studs. If your trunk is fully open and they fall out of your socket when unscrewing, they will disappear into the trunk frame. Thankfully I recognized this as a potential problem and prevented it by capturing the nut with my fingers. Also, use caution on the two inner most holes as those two have very sharp edges. Cuts avoided as well. Installation was a breeze. Just make sure you apply firm pressure to the tape areas a few times during the day to help it form a perfect seal. And lastly, before you install it, now is the time to use a soft cloth and remove all the wax residue in spots that will be impossible to get to once it is installed. I have a 2011 GT in Sterling Grey Metallic and the paint matched perfectly. Excellent job AM crew. Thanks American Muscle. You definitely have my continued business.

Review from 3dCarbon GT500 Style Spoiler - Unpainted (10-14 All)

      GT 500 Style Spoiler

I did not have a stock spoiler on my 2010 GT and honestly did not like what Ford was offering for a wing. After weeks of going back and forth on what type of spoiler style would best fit, I decided to order this GT 500 style spoiler. The results were amazing! The spoiler definitely gave the car a new and more aggressive look. Easy to install, along with very quick delivery from the folks at American Muscle! Excellent choice...

This spoiler completely changes appearance of the whole car! I bought my stang with a spoiler delete option so the back looked bald and outbalanced compared to somewhat aggressive designed factory front end. This GT500 wing definitely helped making my car look whole and it fits so well one might think it came with it factory. I was a little worried about how close it's going to be to original paint, but it matches perfectly. Good job AM! Also it came fast and undamaged, not even a tiniest scratch on it. PS. The only thing Im not happy about is that I couldn't find any instructions as to where to drill holes in the trunk, since I didn't have a factory spoiler I had to measure out and match to the wing all four holes which took forever, and I still had to make them bigger at the end for it to sit perfectly on the trunk... ugh.

      3DCarbon awesomeness

The GT500 style spoiler was perfectly painted to match my 5.0 was easy to install and dropped in perfectly where the factory spoiler was with no difficulty. Make sure you take your time and tape around the factory spoiler just to be sure you don't scratch anything but this was completely worth the time it took. all in all it took about two hours to put in the look is amazing, larger, more agressive but not gaudy and looks nothing like the shopping cart style I see on alot of stangs (sadly). One last thing to whomever packaged my spoiler! Thank You, i don't know what happened in shipping but when it got to my door my heart sank the box looked like it was at the bottom of the truck or went through a shredder. Thanks to AM packaging though the wing it self had no chips scratches or cracks.

      Nice Spoiler

The packaging was good however the left tip was damaged (about 1/8 inch) where the paint scraped off. I would have sent it back but I had some OEM touchup paint that took care of it. This would have been the second prepainted part I sent back because of a paint defect however I didn't feel like waiting for another one even though AM customer service is top notch and they would have made it right. For the price I think a little more detail should go into the finishing. The spoiler also has some minor dings in the plastic that were painted over. The install was easy but even though I centered it perfectly on the trunk, one of the holes on the spoiler didn't line up enough to get the supplied screw in. I used a smaller screw to secure it. The fit could be a little better as the left tip sits almost 1/4 inch higher than the right tip over the quarter panel.
