Justin: At right around 20 bucks, the MMD Shorty Antenna here might just be one of the best bang for your buck mods available for that 2010 through 2014 Mustang at home. Now, when installed, the 5-inch black rubberized antenna will reduce the size of your stocker by nearly 9 inches, and the best part is without having a dramatically negative impact to your radio reception.Your installation here, guys, is going to be extremely straightforward. So expect a simple one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, no more than a few minutes to complete from start to finish, as we'll show you later in the video. Now, again, well there really isn't a ton to talk about here, both literally and figuratively, so what do you say we just cut right to the chase? Now, the factory antenna on your S197, at least the 2010 through 2014 that is, is gonna be 14 inches in length. And while that still is much shorter compared to the earlier S197s, it's still pretty lengthy overall. Now, moving to a shorter option, such as MMD's 5-incher here, will not only help clean up the appearance of your ride, but will also make things like car washes and car covers a bit easier to deal with as well. Now, your construction is going to be a combination of that steel core which is gonna help your radio reception, of course, but wrapped in the weather-resistant textured black, kind of, rubberized material here, which still does have some play to it. It still is pretty pliable. So if you do happen to snag it at a car wash or something like that, you're not gonna have to worry about this thing, kind of, snapping in half on you.But the biggest question I get, no doubt, is, "Will this thing kill my radio reception?" And honestly, guys, it really depends on where you live, right? If you live in close proximity to your local stations already, you get great reception to begin with, well, then chances are that's really not gonna change your EMMD option installed. However, if you live out in the countryside and you have problems getting decent reception with that factory antenna, well, guess what, adding something shorter is certainly not going to make things better. But if you really wanna hear from the S197 owners out there who have installed this product on their ride, I always encourage you guys to read up on the customer reviews with this product as it's a great way to get some real world feedback from fellow Mustang owners. And hey, while you're there, feel free to check out some of the customers' submitted images as well to see how this thing works once installed. But now we wanna show you how easy it would be to get the MMD antenna in place. Your stud's already there for you. There's no need for any extras when going to install this thing, so very, very simple stuff. And to prove that again to you, guys, here's that detailed walk-through we promised you earlier.Man: All right. So the first step of this install is gonna be to remove the factory antenna that comes with the vehicle. You don't need any tools for this. You can unscrew it with your hands. Now that that's out of the way, you can install your new antenna, once again, with no tools. And that's gonna wrap up this review and install of the MMD 5-Inch Antenna, fitting your 2010 to '14 Mustangs. Thanks for watching. And for all things Mustang, keep it right here at americanmuscle.com.
