Increase In Performance And Sound. Bolting on a Pypes "Pype Bomb" Super System Cat-Back Exhaust will yield an instant increase in horsepower at the rear wheels. It features two of Pypes high flow M-80 Bullet Style Mufflers for the ultimate in unrestricted flow and power gains for a deeper throaty tone.

Aggressive Throaty Sound. The Pypes "Pype Bomb" Super System Cat-Back features two high flow straight-through M-80 Bullet Mufflers that are mounted directly after the Mid Pipe, instead of after the axle, to produce an aggressive deep throaty muscle car tone with the help of the same stainless steel resonator tips that Pypes uses on their "Pype-Bomb" Axle-Back Exhaust kit.

Quality Materials. This Pypes "Pype Bomb" Super System Cat-Back Exhaust system is constructed from free flowing mandrel bent 3" 409 stainless steel tubing and features two Pypes M-80 Bullet straight-through mufflers for an aggressive throaty sound. The whole system is finished off with a set of 4" polished 304 stainless steel resonator tips for modern Muscle Car styling.

Application. The Pypes "Pype Bomb" Super System Cat-Back Exhaust kit is specifically designed to simply bolt-on to the existing stock H-Pipe of the 2011-2014 5.0L GT Mustang for more power and a louder more aggressive sound.

Fitament on lowered vehicles My car is lowered 1.5 inches in the rear and 1 inch in the front. I'm concerned with the 3 inch pipe over the axle. Looking up under there shows a tight fit even with the stock pipe. Should I be worried about any clearance issues?

Will these pipes work with another axleback? Wondering if the 3 inch pipe will match up with roush axleback

Will2IAm

  • Depends on the other axleback's inlet pipe, the Roush inlet is 2.75", which means you would need to put on a reducer from the 3.00" to 2.75". I don't think it would be a problem but I'd still double check with a local muffler shop and see if this would affect it.

How does this compare to the Outlaw axleback and Pypes Pipe Bomb Axleback? Hello, I have the Flowmaster Outlaw axleback and its soooooooooo RASPY at higher revs and it drones INSANELY on the highway. and quiet frankly, its not even that loud. So my question is, will this catback system be DEEPER and/or LOUDER than my Outlaw axleback? and will it drone as much too? and how would you also compare this Pypes Pype bomb Super system catback to the Pypes bype bomb axleback? its 200 bucks cheaper. is the catback going to be louder and deeper? what about drone? please help me out to chose the perfect exhaust because I am tired of youtube videos. I want DEEP and loud! Thank you

Marcoo1993

  • Well, it all boils down to individual preference. This system is also a "straight thru" muffler design and as a rule of thumb, these tend to be on the "raspy" side. If you are looking for a deeper sound, I would recommend chambered style mufflers!

    Perfect volume and sound

I actually would lie awake wondering if this exhaust would be loud enough and/or have a decent exhaust note. I figured with the lower price, compared to others, that it would leave maybe a little to be desired after installed. After install however I was more than happy. At a cold start up, about 1200 rpms, it give a nice mildly loud rumble that will make you smile every time. Cruising down the road in town at about 2000 rpms with the exhaust sounds echoing off the buildings is a great feeling. And ofcourse WOT will have everyone with in a mile radius wondering where the NASCAR track is. If you are on the fence, perhaps on a tight budget, this system is a no brainer. Note: If you, like myself, also purchase an x-pipe or 3" h-pipe, you will need to make sure you get the addition kit from pypes directly to make the connection between their system and the x-pipe. This is because this system is meant to go into the smaller factory H-pipe. The guys at pypes sent me out everything I needed for this for next to no cost after showing them proof of my pypes system purchase.

Super system is a super deal

The exhaust system was a vast improvement over stock. The stock mufflers weighed a ton and the pypes super system was way lighter. It was very easy to install. One of the hangers was slightly off so i had to bend it with a table clamp no big deal. I dont really feel a difference in power to be honest but the sound is amazing such a difference over stock its unbelievable. It sounds exactly like a muscle car should low pitch great rumble and crackling and popping noises. The install took me an hour and 20 minutes with help from a friend on a lift.

    My thoughts

I recently purchased this cat exhaust for my 2011 5.0. I also bough the Pypes X pipes too. I was under the impression they were going to work good together and be an easy bolt on install. After taking to a shop to get done, my pipes were short on on side and the X pipe couldn't be installed because the X pipe needed a 3 inch pipe coming from the cat back, but the cat back was 2.5 inches. So after researching I found that there is an additional piece that I had to have to make it work together. So instead buying additional parts that weren't to me before, I decided to do some welding to make it all work. So it wasn't just bolt on parts

    Good Catback For The Money

I have had 4 aftermarket exhausts on my 2012 GT. The first was a shop install Flowmaster 40 Series. Sounded really good but not very loud. Then I had the resonators cut off and the Flowmasters sounded very different. It was louder and more aggressive. That was the best sounding exhaust I had for this car. Then I went to the Pype Bomb axle back with no resonators. That was a mistake. Because there were no resonators, it was just a bunch of noise. There was no tone whatsoever not to mention the backfiring. Then, someone rear ended me and damaged my exhaust so I decided to go with Pypes Super System as a replacement. This is much better than the axle back Pype Bomb but still a step below the Flowmaster 40 Series with no resonators. The tone is really good at idle and at wide open throttle it is pretty good. I am very happy with this exhaust, don't get me wrong. It's a very high quality construction and sounds good. It is louder than the Flowmasters but it's very hard to beat the mellow tone from a 5.0 and a Flowmaster exhaust.

    Awesome upgrade

I upgraded from a magnaflow axelback system which I thought was loud, but the pypes catback system is awesomely loud. Its surprisingly quiet at idle, and its not too loud if you're just cruising. However, if you drive with the pedal to the metal like me, it really rattles LOUD between 3 and 4,000 rpm. I bought the x pype but haven't installed it yet (requires welding or extra pieces to fit with the pypes catback system). It sounds great with the factory H pipe, i can't imagine it sounding any better. The installation took a while. The factory pipes were hard to get out but putting in the new system was pretty easy minus the clamps.

    AWESOME CatBack

I was overwhelmed with options of different CatBack systems. Finally I made the choice and went with Pypes Super System Cat Back and I LOVE IT! This system sounds aggressive and mean. The install was super easy, took me about 2 hours to get everything installed and aligned properly. This exhaust is defiantly built with quality. I highly suggest this exhaust system!

    I love this catback!

At first I was a little leery of Pypes, since the price was so much cheaper but decided to order anyway and I'm glad I did. The quality of this exhaust is top notch. Full mandrel bent stainless with double walled slant cut tips. It comes in pieces with quality clamps, so installing it was a breeze. The mufflers fit under the car with plenty of clearance between the drive shaft and gas tank. Everything lines up perfect and I didn't have to modify anything like I was expecting to. The sound is perfect for me, I love a little rasp in my exhaust with some pop/crackle. I didn't want a really smooth exhaust that reminded me of a v6. The note at idle is very deep yet pretty quiet. It really livens up when you get on it but definitely not overly loud. There is a bit of drone right at 2k rpms, but it goes away just before and after the 2k rpm mark, does not bother me at all. LOVE IT!!

    This product sounds great

I listened to the clip before purchasing and liked the way it sounded. After receiving and having it installed, it sounds even better. It has a deep tone to it and I love the way it sounds. My grabber blue gt always got stared at but even more now that you can actually hear it.

    Best catback budget exhaust

Bought this 3 weeks after buying my car because I can't own a mustang without having exhaust on it, and the pitch and tone are just plain amazing. Installation was cheap ran me $60 to have it installed which is why I didn't do it myself. Only wish they had it with the tips in black (I painted my tips with high temp black header paint the night before I had it installed and it looks much better). Overall would recommend to anyone who has a 5.0 and wants a great exhaust but doesn't want to spend a lot of money.

This system is a huge difference from the stock exhaust system. Now you actually can hear your pony roar!!!! sounds like a dragster open throttle on cools down when low rpm not to upset any neighbors. Would defiantly recommend this cat-back exhaust system.

I was very indecisive on which exhaust I should get for my mustang. And after finding these Pype Bomb I knew they were just what I was looking for. Great deep sound, not raspy at all. Some drone but to me I enjoy every bit of it. Great product.

    Great bang for your buck!

Put these on my 2011 5.0 after researching different systems and not wanting to spend a fortune- these are awesome!! Has a mean deep growl to it. Lots of compliments and I overall couldn't be happier. Had to bend them a bit to make them look even but wasn't a problem- the tips look badass. If you want a mean sound at a fraction of the cost this is the way to go.

    can't go wrong

Can't go wrong for the price. The quality is really good for the price. I honestly couldn't of asked for anymore it's a nice loud exhaust and has a good tone too it as well. It gets loud, the only problem is some drone at 60mph but it is an exhaust on a muscle car what can you expect lol. I have a lift and installed it myself and a friend in under an hour. It sounds great at low and mid rpms get a little raspy at high rpms but is very loud and like I said for the money it's great. If it wasn't as raspy at the top end it would probably just be more baffled (deeper) and quieter which wouldn't be as fun. Got used too the loudness in a few weeks and Def will be looking at mid pipe to get rid of the cats and possibly doing headers as well if the horsepower gains are worth the $500 for headers.
