Very Nice

Identical to the stock fog lights in mounting. They fit right in with no hassle. The clear smoked lenses match the stock (black internal) headlamps perfectly. Excellent product.

Review & Install Video

Hey I’m Justin with, and I’m taking a look at 3 different foglight options, all fitting the 99-04 Mustang, available in your choice of either chrome, yellow, or smoked. These foglights are a great low cost replacement option for a old or busted set of factory foglights, or on the other hand, if your New Edge never came equipped with a set of foglights, here’s your chance to pick some up that will really complete the front end. As I mentioned earlier, you do have 3 different options when it comes to the color of the lens. Regardless of which lens you choose, all three options do come with a bright chrome housing, but the different style comes in the form of a clear lens, which will give you a clean bright OEM look, a dark smoked lens which will give you that classic aggressive look which is a essential for helping you nail that blackout theme, and finally we have a more traditional yellow lens. If your ride did not come equipped with foglights from the factory then you’ll either need to purchase a wiring harness separately, or get a little creative and wire these in yourself. However if your ride did come equipped with foglights, then you’ll be happy to know that these lights are a direct factory replacement, meaning they’ll plug right into your factory harness without modification. Either way, getting these new foglights installed should only take you about an hour from start to finish. So if your factory foglights have seen better days or you’re just looking to install a set of fogs for the very first time, then be sure to check out one of these three options available right here at

Ask a Question

Is silicone needed to install? I was reading the installation and they suggest using silicone around the lights. Does sillicone have to be used or can I just install them the way they came?

  • You most certainly can install these the way they come; however, it's highly recommended to apply the seal of silicone prior to installation to ensure that no moisture or condensation get into the lights once installed. Easier to do it as a preventative measure and offers peace of mind rather than going through the trouble of dissipating the moisture and sealing down the road if need be!

Does the smoked lens affect the brightness of the fog light?

  • Not as much as you would think. They are still fairly bright, (And look good). I put on smoked headlights, so the foglights are a good compliment to the look. To make it road legal in my state, i used a relay so they shut off when the high beams are on. You can see the difference.

Installing these on my car? My mustang didn't come with fog lights, so is there still the same wiring as one that already has them?

  • Unfortunately not. If your Mustang didn't come equipped with factory fogs, an aftermarket wiring harness will be required for installation.

Can you install these fog lights on a Mustang that did not come stock with fog lights on it? If so, where would be the switch to activate them?

  • The Raxiom Smoked Fog Lights - Pair (99-04 GT, V6, Mach 1) will work on cars that did not come with fog lights. However you will need to buy a aftermarket wiring harness and a switch for them to work.

    Smoked Fog Lights

I'd been eye balling these lights since I first discovered AM. The Sleek Smoked Lens on these lights would pair up perfectly with my Smoked Dual CCFL Halo headlights. But, my car being a V6, it was somewhat difficult to source a reliable Wiring Harness that included everything I needed to make this purchase worthwhile. After some research, another site (VMP tuning) was able to supply exactly that. Shipping from AM, as always, was quick and painless. Wiring aside, This kit will install a lot faster if you simply remove the Bumper cover to have access to the mounting points. I discourage leaving the "styling bars" in the cutouts (for those that have a V6) simply because these lights are just that great looking and worth showing off! With the Bumper cover removed, installation can be done by one person in approximately 20 minutes; Work smarter, not harder. Adding the Wiring, you're looking at approx. an hour. (without instructions) Once everything is in place and ready to go, you cannot tell whether the kit was installed by the factory or as an aftermarket option. Their build quality alone makes them an amazing functional piece. I also love the fact that I now have spare bulbs in case of any mishaps! ;-)

I got these and installed them. I read the reviews and some said they switch out the housings because they didn't match up. The housings didn't match up so I switch housings on the passenger side. On the driver side I just took out adjustment screw, unplugged the light and used a screw driver to pop the fog light out. I then pushed the new fog light into the stock bracket and re-installed the adjustment screw and was done. That was way easier than taking out the bracket and screwing it back in which was a little difficult. They look way better than the stock fogs and are brighter. The make my car look way better with the smoked headlights.

    99-04 Smoked Foglights

Pain in the butt to install, but wow what a difference!!! I am not very sure why Ford decided to delete foglights from the Bullitts, but I fixed it. These lights are well worth it.

Good lights but not worth the price on a V6

After paying $90.00 for these lights I had to buy a wiring harness for an extra $100.00 as V6 Mustangs do not come with fog lights or a wiring harness. Overall product was nice but if I could choose again I'd think twice before spending $200.00 just so I can have foglights on the Stang.

    Amazing Lights

I purchased these headlights for my 2004 V6 Mustang and I was astounded by the difference it makes in driving. Living in West Virginia I encounter fog, snow, and rain often throughout the four seasons. I do recommend sealing them with silicone before fully installing. If your car didn't come with a wiring harness, you'll need to buy one!

Look good but too me are worst than stock

So my stock fog lights were not worn out or anything but I decided it was time to match my black housings of my other these fog lights from raxiom caught my eye, install was easy just lift the front end of the car, install, and bam your done. Light output on the other end was just not what I expected and that's with upgraded bulbs, the beam these fogs reflect is skinny and not wide at all with little brightness compared to stock, i don't know if the fogs i recieved were defective, but everyone else on here has had something good to say about them.

    Raxiom Smoked Fog Lights

When I first order these I was super excited to install them! The guy I had lined up to do them is a mustang specialist and owns a shop named Restang LLC. Well before I got around to having him install them for me he passed away. So they sat a long while at my house just getting to be installed. So I headed back out to Restang and turns out his son kept the shop up and running and installed them no problem! I love them! I knew they wouldn't be used for lighting and just as a look and boy was I right! Definitely completes the frond end of any mustang! Fills up all the unnecessary "holes" if you know what I mean. Also look especially good with the Mach 1 chin spoiler. Highly recommend this product if you're going with the smoked look! Very stealthy during the day and definitely noticeable at night!

    adds 10 aggressive look ;)

I really like the way these lights ended up looking on my GT. Only thing is, if you didn't have fog lights before you have to find another way to harness the lights in. I used zip ties for the time being til I get something more strong.

    Tight Space

Not a whole lot of room to get at the fasteners but it took less than an hour to get them in. They fit perfectly but you will need some patience and be able to work in a tight space. Found it easier to turn the tires to get your head under the fender so you could see what you are doing.
