Description
Ideal Replacement. If your clutch is slipping or burnt up on your daily driver 'Stang, consider a SPEC Stage 1 as a replacement. It will hold better than a stock unit without giving you a leg workout every time you need to shift, and will improve your drivetrain's ability to handle power and perform reliably.

Daily Driver Friendly. This SPEC Stage 1 Clutch is designed for bolt-on naturally aspirated and mildly modified forced induction engines. It's best suited to 'Stangs that see daily driver duty and occasional track use, since it offers the most friendly pedal feel combined with SPEC's legendary durability.

Premium Quality. The SPEC Stage 1 Clutch offers all the features you need from a more powerful clutch with superior driveability. SPEC Stage 1 Clutches feature their signature high clamp pressure plate combined with a steel-backed and multi-compound woven organic material disc and high torque sprung hub. Like with all SPEC Clutches, an alignment tool is included for easy installation.

    Not A Horror Story Like I Thought

    I got this clutch when I meant to get the dual-friction and was worried after reading some reviews that I was going to have problems with this clutch. Well, it didn't happen, the clutch is broke in now. No chatter, no slipping, good feel to it. I love this clutch, it grabs great and yanks your neck back. I would definitely recommend this clutch, just make sure you do all the right prep work (machining the flywheel) etc and it'll do great for you too.

    Spec stage 1

    Very strong clutch.. Can't say i would want anything besides what i got with this clutch. I have gone just over 1k miles on it so far and it grabs like hell with no noise or chatter like i hear most people have problems with.. One of the best kits right here!! Get you a spec stage 1, you'll be happy. Pedal is pretty stiff but nothing you couldn't drive.. I love it!!!

    Spec Stage 1

    Awesome clutch so far. Only have a little over 100 miles on it after installing it 2 days ago. Has a lot of chatter when taking off, cant wait for it to go away. Has a softer pedal feel then the Ford Racing clutch that was in it previously. I love it. I wont get into how much I hate flat backing a clutch change in the driveway!

    Could be better

    Not pleased with this clutch. 500 mile break in? I'm at about 8000 and it shakes and shudders horribly! looking for a new clutch already. I would not buy spec again.

    Near perfect

    Pretty good clutch for a Stage 1, it has a little bit of chatter but once its worn in properly it should be fit to last.

    Spec Clutch

    Clutch grabs great! but my only complaints are that it has a little over one thosand miles and it still has clutch chatter from time to time. and the throw out bearing started squeeking only 100 miles after installed.

    No problems

    First 50 miles had a ton of chatter but got better. Clutch is not as soft as people say but it really bites. Make sure u buy a clutch adjuster kit and a ford racing t/o bearing. I have 1300 miles on it and love it. Not to much not to little.
