Car Cover Fit I have some concerns about the fitment of a car cover if you are using these mirrors. My cover fits snugly on my 07 GT with the stock mirrors and I am wondering if the cover will scratch or put excessive wear on these mirrors. Can anyone speak for the width difference on these mirrors over the stock mirrors or how durable the finish is? Thanks!

  • These do not stick out as far as the stock mirrors did. I haven't had any issues with the finish on mine and it is covered daily.

    pre-painted retro mirrors

I do like the appearance of these side view mirrors, they do give the Mustang a retro sportier look reminiscent of the '69-'70 Mach1. But, the color match is not exact. My car is yellow and i find the mirrors to be a shade darker. Maybe 1 degree. And the driver's side glass doesn't fit squarely in the housing due to the mirror motor mounting posts. The right side mirror is perfect in fitment.

Both left and right side mirrors should fit perfectly, not to mention be the proper paint match. It sounds like the left side mirror you received is slightly damaged if it's not fitting squarely. We'll get a replacement set shipped out for you right away!

Amazing in appearance, but lacking in visibility.

These mirrors are definitely nicer than stock. Looking at them from the front will most certainly turn some heads. Visibility is far less, so if you have any trouble with the stock mirrors, I wouldn't recommend these. Regardless, great look! Only took 35 minutes for both. The instructions are great. Once you remove the stock mirrors, you realize how terribly boring they are. I can't imagine re-installing them no matter how bad the MMD's are regarding visibility.

Thumbs up for the retro mirrors.

Very easy to install and the color match is perfect. I installed them with a friend in less than an hour. Everyone who has seen them loves them. Perhaps a tad on the pricey side, but still a very worthwhile mod.

    Much better than expected

Paint match is great. Look like they were made by Ford. Take your time and the motor swap is very easy.

Beautiful mirrors with a technical issue

I love the look of these mirrors; however, the passenger side mirror is not a convex mirror. That means you cannot adjust them inside the housing OR to not create a huge blindspot. I asked AM to research the issue, and they brought it to the company's attention. I had to fix it and get the car safely back on the road, so I bought a true convex mirror and had it cut to fit at a glass shop. They are now perfect and my favorite mod. So, I recommend them, but I also recommend you fix the passenger glass for safety. Hopefully AM will help guide MMD to the solution so you get the right parts out of the box. The look is INCREDIBLE once you are done and worth the hassle. The mirror housings that should have come on the car.

    Very nice, easy install.

Received the mirrors, well-packed and in good condition. It took less than an hour to install. I took my time with the first mirror and spent about 1/2 an hour on it. The second mirror was completed in about 10 minutes. I gave them a "3" on fit and finish for two reasons: 1) the black part of the mirror has a matte finish and needs to be handled carefully or it will scratch, 2) There were a couple of small flaws (paint dimples) on the bottoms of the mirrors. For the price, I was hoping for zero flaws. However, I am a fairly picky person and the flaws were minimal. The mirrors themselves were a "dead-on" paint match. They look really good on the car..much better than the blocky mirrors that came stock. The visibility is reduced quite a bit with these mirrors. However, the upgrade in appearance is worth it.

    MMD Retro mirrors

The MMD pre-painted color match mirrors are a great modd for my Roush. The installation instructions were a bit off, but a little mechanical know how overcame that. Note that there is no need to disconnect the bracket that holds the mirror adjustment mechanism. Just unclip the wiring harnes from the motor and it casn be fished out. Install time was just over one hour.

Be careful, pass side mirror is flat, not convex like the original

When I opened the box I noticed both mirrors are flat, even though the pass side is marked "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" I suspected my mirror was a defect and contacted CS and they told me they are supposed to be flat. With the mirrors being so much smaller than stock I can't understand why they would make them this way, then label them as if they are convex. My car being a convertible has bad blind spots as it is with the stock mirrors. I am afraid to install these. Again, if they are supposed to be flat, why do they label them with the warning? Outside this the mirrors are beautiful. I haven't been able to put them on as my car is in the shop getting a Cervini hood put on.
