Description
Big Power, Many Functions. The Bully Dog GT Tuner provides performance tunes that give your F-150 pickup an energizing jolt of up to +42 horsepower and similar ft/lbs of torque – but its usefulness doesn't end there. Once you've used this Bully Dog device to get all your engine components working in sync to generate plenty of new power, throttle response, and fuel efficiency, it becomes a highly effective gauge, diagnostic device, and monitor to ensure you get the most out of your 4.6L 3V F-150 in every way.
Track Data in Real Time. Working as a fully customizable gauge pack, the GT monitors up to 4 gauge functions simultaneously. It also works as a control over many different functions in your truck, from minor matters like switching off the seatbelt warning chime or adjusting the headlight delay, to major changes like altering the speedometer to match bigger aftermarket tires, or increasing the RPM or speed limit imposed by engine electronics. It also reads and clears DTC diagnostic codes.
Convenience in Use. Coming with preloaded tunes that are dyno-tested for real horsepower and torque gains. A color screen with large, easy-to-read lettering, numbers, gauges, and symbols combines with easy to use controls for rapid, intuitive programming, adjustments, or monitoring. A fully adjustable jointed and swiveling mount is included so that the GT Tuner can be attached to the dashboard or windshield in an easy to see location. The device is built for
sturdiness and convenience, and is 49-state street legal.
Straightforward Installation. The Bully Dog Tuner is designed for easy installation, though several steps should be taken during the install to prevent damage (unplugging all aftermarket electronics from ports and hooking up a trickle charger). Extra tunes, updates, and upgrades are available through an Internet connection.
Application. This version of the Bully Dog GT Tuner is made for use with 2009-2010 F-150s with a 4.6L 3V (3-Valve) V8 engine.
Application Note. To determine what version of the 4.6L is in your truck, you would need to refer to your VIN number. If the 8th digit in the VIN # is "W" it is the 4.6L 2V. If the 8th digit in the VIN # is "8" it is the 4.6L 3V.
