What's going on, guys? I'm Alex from americanmuscle.com, and this is my quick review and breakdown of the Pedders Caster Camber Plates, fitting your 2005 through 2014 Mustang. So in this video, I'm gonna talk about who these are gonna appeal to, what you should expect to be spending, and then last, but not least, we're gonna take a quick look at the installation, where you're gonna be looking at a pretty involved two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and about four hours to get these onto your car.
So this kit should definitely appeal to any Mustang owner that's either in the process of spec-ing out a kit to lower your car, or if your Mustang is already lowered and you're having a little bit of trouble finding your alignment. So when you're lowering your car, one of the things that's gonna happen as a direct result of putting a little bit more additional stress on your front suspension is that you're gonna be throwing your alignment out of whack, as well as your setup. Not only that, you also are gonna be creating premature tire wear, which is not only gonna be bad for your front tires, but at the end of the day, it's just very unsafe to be rolling around on tires that are gonna be wearing from the inside out.
So one of the greatest things about this kit right off the bat is that these are gonna be fully adjustable, which essentially means that if you're gonna be running your Mustang on a road course or if you're doing some auto crossing, you're essentially going to have the ability to tailor your setup for the road surface and/or conditions where you're gonna be running your car. So in terms of the construction and materials here, we're gonna see that Pedders is gonna have this kit primarily manufactured out of a high-grade billet aluminum, which is also gonna feature a red anodized finish. That's gonna be great for some of the Mustang owners out there that are looking to add a little more flair under their hood. Not only that, if you're gonna be having any type of underhood dress-up accessories that are gonna be in a red anodized finish is you're gonna mesh very well with them.
So taking a quick look at the pricing here, you should expect to be spending only 200 bucks for this kit, which, in my opinion, is definitely gonna be at the bottom of the spectrum in terms of pricing, while excluding caster camber bolts, which, in my opinion, really aren't that effective in getting your suspension back in a check. But I have seen and read some guys out there in the forums getting away with using them. But at the end of the day, I would definitely recommend going with the full-fledged caster camber plate setup as you're really gonna have the best chances of getting your suspension back in a check.
So switching gears to the installation portion of the video, just like I had said in the beginning, you're gonna be looking at a pretty involved two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and about four hours to get these onto your car. Now I do wanna mention that this is gonna be a brief overview, so some steps might be left out, but I'm gonna give you a broad idea of what's gonna need necessitated to get these onto your Mustang.
So to start you're definitely gonna need to pull your wheels off and then you're gonna need to pull your strut tower brace, if it was installed from the factory, or if you're running an aftermarket one. And then you're gonna need to pull the entire strut assembly as well as the spindle out, in order to access the bolts where you're gonna need to remove that out of the car. So after this, you're gonna need to compress the springs so that there's not gonna be any type of pressure on the upper plate and then you're gonna need to put these directly on top of the shaft, where these are essentially going to seed themselves right on the rubber spring isolator. Again, I know this is not a very in-depth installation here, and it's just to give you a decent idea what's gonna need to be necessitated to get these under your car. But if you've ever done a strut job on your Mustang or any other type of car out there, I don't think you're gonna have too much trouble getting these onto your Mustang.
All right, so just to wrap things up here, if you're the Mustang owner that's already lowered your car, or if you're in the process of dropping your car and you're looking to piece together a solid kit, I would definitely recommend taking a look at this kit as you're gonna be getting your suspension geometry back in a check as well as preventing any type of premature tire wear. At the end of the day, it's gonna burn a hole in your pocket as well as literally through your tires, making it very unsafe to drive.
