Review & Install Video
Hey, what's going on, guys? Adam here with AmericanMuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the Weathertech TechShade Windshield Sun Shade fitting old 2015 and newer F150s. In this video, I'll be going over everything you can expect from the Weathertech Sun Shade I have with me today as well as its materials and construction. I'll even touch on the installation, if you can even call it that, which I'll tell you out front. Of course, we'll get a solid one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. Let's hop right into it.
The Weathertech TechShade Windshield Sun Shade is gonna be for old 2015 and newer F150 owners out there who of course knows what it feels like to hop in your car after having it sit in the sun and it feels like a billion degrees in the interior, or even the complete opposite, in the winter time having your windshield all frosted up. This sun shade from Weathertech can definitely prevent both of those on the polar opposite sides.
Now, if you're anything like me, you probably don't like hopping in your car or truck after having it sit in the sun for a while, which of course can make the interior feel like it's heating up and on fire. Now, Weathertech steps up to the plate and produces a sun shade that can actually keep your interior temperatures down using its mirror-like shine to reflect the light to the outside. Now with that said, it can definitely help for the guys out there using some black-on-black interior like myself or even if it's leather, the upholstery of the steering wheel can actually be kept a lot cooler, thanks to Weathertech.
Now see, that's only one side of it. If you actually flip over this option, you get a darker black side. Now the black side isn't like the mirror-like shine but it will actually absorb the light so that in the winter time, the absorption of the light can keep your windshield from frosting up, which of course can make your morning commute to work or your daily driving commutes during the snow a lot quicker and a lot easier.
When it comes to the materials and construction, this was manufactured out of a soft-core foam covered in a durable polyester film. Of course, the darker side for the winter months and the mirror-like shine for the summer months. All covered by a three-year warranty because Weathertech does believe in their craftsmanship. Now, with that said, it also comes with a velcro strap that you can easily roll it up and store it in a convenient compact size for easy storage.
Now, when it comes to the price of this product, Weathertech has priced this at just about 80 bucks which, when compared to some of your typical sun shades you might get at like Pep Boys or Auto Zone, it might sound like a lot but then again you are getting a three-year warranty, a lot of durable materials with the polyester film, and the flip side getting the winter months and the summer months covered. So in my opinion, a lot of bang for your buck. This can definitely be useful if you're hopping in your truck and it's constantly hot or constantly frosted.
Now, as far as the installation goes, if you can even call it that, this one was made specifically for the front end of your 2015 or newer F150 and it's just a matter of putting it up on your windshield with the mirror-like shine out during the summer days and of course the black film during the winter days. Now, with that said, a couple of minutes for the install if that, and of course gets a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.
Well, just to wrap things up here, if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer F150 and you're looking for a convenient and affordable way to keep your interior cool during the summer days and a lot warmer during the winter days, you might want to check out the Weathertech TechShade Windshield Sun Shade available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
