  • Performance V2 (87-93 Octane) - The Performance Tune offers a seamless blend of power, performance and drive-ability. Improving the overall driving experience of your Mustang, the Bama Performance Tune improves vehicle acceleration, increases power throughout the entire RPM and improves throttle response with revised timing, fuel, and VCT maps. Automatic equipped vehicles offer an aggressive shifting map to provide more aggressive transmission settings. This tune is suggested for the aggressive daily driver that is looking for more "get up and go".

  • Race V2 (91-93 Octane, E85, Race Fuel) - The Race Tune is designed for maximum performance and ensures the largest increase in vehicle performance. Using the highest grade of fuel available in your area is mandatory as timing, VCT, fuel, and throttle response settings are very aggressive. Automatic transmission settings implement entirely new shift points, torque converter changes and firmness settings designed for Track use.

Nitrous (91, 93, E85, Race Fuel) - Our nitrous option can be added to any of our previously mentioned tune options, but only for 91, 93, E85, or Race Fuel.

Technical Note About Fuel. Use of E85 will require larger fuel injectors such as Injector Dynamics ID1300 or Ford Racing 47lb/hr Injectors. Unleaded race fuel can also be used, but Stoichiometric points must be supplied.

Easy to load; easy to restore. Not only are the custom tunes easy to load on your vehicle, it is just as easy to restore your factory settings. When you load your custom tune on the vehicle, the tuner automatically stores your vehicle's factory settings. To return the vehicle to its factory settings, just plug the tuner back in, select the option to restore the factory settings, and you're done.

I have to agree with Zack from Denver. I did the same deal and wow- what a difference! The 4.10's pick up the front end and just wanna go. If you're on the fence with 3.73's, definitely do the 4.10's.

What parameters will the X4/SF4 measure? This pictures show that this new tuner will measure several things on my car, but I don't see an actual list anywhere. I am looking specifically for air/fuel and boost gauges. Is there a list of what it will measure somewhere? Thanks!

  • The parameters that you can monitor would be determined when hooking it up to the vehicle as it will ping the computer to see what it can monitor. For a 2010 and older Mustang things like A/F would need to be monitored with an analog input and in most cases the same with boost. These can be wired into the tool to record this information into the LiveLink software or directly onto the display screen.

    From 3:27 to 3:73 & now 4:10

    Hey everyone I had purchased the 3:73 last year and was amazed from the difference. Well, here I am again and I had the 4:10 installed. Woooooowwww what a difference, The car moves like a rocket. One thing though I can\'t stay in first gear to long because after 2 seconds from the take off you would have too shift into 2nd. It\'s great I tell you, Just remember for every one gear you upgrade, it increases your rpm\'s by 200, but aslong as you have a stick, your 5th or 6th gear would bring your rpm\'s down to about 1400. This gear is truly a must have.

    Pay for it now

    Even if you send the car to the shop to get it rebuild, you are much better off buying this kit then paying for parts. I was quoted a $900 installation + parts for redoing my rear gears. So I purchased the parts and lube here in American Muscle and only paid for labor which was only $360, so I ended up saving $275.

    FRPP 4.10 Gears for 2001 Mustang GT

    I love these gears! They really wake up the car. I got decent gas mileage 2! I have a 2001 Mustang GT with the AT and it was running 2800 rpms at 75 mph. That equalled out to 22 mpg not too shabby for the performance gain. The LT1 Camaro I ran hated them since he did see the stangs taillights!! Would reccommend these to anyone wanting to drag their car.

    2005 GT 5sp

    These offer a great "bang for the buck". They work great with a 5 speed, and are NOT too much gear. I did alot of research before pulling the trigger on these. Seems like there was always some bunk-hole saying "don't do 4.10's your top end will be 50mph and you will get 4mpg!" Hogwash. There is a 400 RPM increase in 5th gear @ 70mph over the stock 3.55's. Acceleration in ALL gears is improved. The car will now pull 5th much easier and is out of "drone" range while cruising. My MPG's around town/mixed driving improved by about 1mpg, while highway MPG dropped by about 1. You will need to have a handheld tuner to adjust the spedo for the new gears or else your spedo will be off. I had them installed at a shop for $300. When installed properly, these gears make NO noise. Ford really should make these an option in addition to 3.73's.

    Don't Fear the Gear

    Just as the title says. I was afraid at first to put such a steep gear into my daily driver (05 GT). After the install no regrets what-so-ever. 80 mph 3k, 70 mph 2600 rpm. This should be the very first mod to every mustang period. Thanks American Muscle!

    Must Have

    bought these along with 3.73 gears for my 06 GT, if your installing new gears you NEEEEDD this kit. NEVER redo a rear end reusing the original bearings and bolts.I had ford do the install and if i bought the same bearings and bolts through them it woulda been $250 extra. trust me these are so worth it and assurance that NOTHING can go wrong if you do the install correctly

    2008 GT/CS

    i have numerous bolt-ons but the 4.10's are by far my best investment. It wakes up your car when you want it to but isn's too much for a daily driver. The description claims to reduce your gas mileage but mine increased somehow, which makes no sense considering i accelerate a lot faster and a lot more often. I recommend having them installed by a shop. i have a buddy who is a mechanic and he had trouble doing some at his work and had to call over help. The highway driving isn't bad. The car will hum a lot louder on the highway but if you punch it'll throw you back. First gear is pretty powerful, Second is great, and once you hit third at full throttle you are happy you bought them! I strongly recommend these especially if you want to mess around with other mustangs because they just cant keep up once you have the new gears.

    1999 Cobra

    All I can say is "WOW"....Huge difference in 1st thru 3rd gear, even fourth and fifth are fun to drive in! Put these in along a with new throttle body and exhaust system from the headers back and now my car has woke up!!
