Dose the sending unit gasket to fuel tank come in kit? I have a '98 Mustang, 3.8 liter, V6, cold air induction, oversized Throttle Body, and high performance Coil, and 5 speed Manual Trans. The fuel tank is stock OEM. 1.# In the picture#s) of the BBK Performance electric fuel pump, 300 LPH, there is NO picture nor description about a Sending Unit to fuel tank gasket, Does this come with the Kit? Also, regarding inline fuel filter which is OEM mounted directly ahead of the fuel tank on this Mustang; 2.) What inline fuel filter do you recommend with the BBK Performance electric fuel pump, 300 LPH ??

  • There's a rubber seal on the unit already so you don't need a gasket. I just used a duralast filter from autozone, but I'm sure any will do the job.

    Great replacement pump

It only took me a full day because I had to drop my tank when it was full of gas, but once I had it down replacing the pump was super easy. Car started right up.

The BBK Direct Replacement Fuel Pump fit/performed as advertised!

Recommend getting the gas line fitting removal tools from your local Auto Parts Store for the 3/8 & 5/16 gas lines. Also recommend purchasing the fuel tank gas filler tube Grommet. Replace fuel filter at the same time. It is easier to get to when gas tank is down out of vehicle! In order to remove the fuel tank I had to remove the gas door, gas cap, inside trunk area upholstery - I had to remove the trunk's inner liner along on back at the fuel pump reset button and the right side liner to get access to the gas filler tube boots and loosen so the fuel tank could be separated from the gas filler tube. Once the fuel tank was out of the vehicle, the easy to follow instructions took about 30 minutes in removal of the old fuel pump and the replacement of the BBK 300 LPH fuel pump. Reversed above procedure with new gas filler tube grommet installed in the fuel tank. One Note: Check the 20 amp fuse to make sure it is Okay. My old pump had froze up, so the fuse was toast, thank the good Lord for fuses!
