Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it with jack stands.
Remove the stock pinion snubber, retain the original hardware for re-use.
Install the new mount plate using the original hardware. Tighten bolts securely.
Using a 1/2” socket and extension, fasten the rubber snubber into place on the snubber holder tube using the supplied 3/8”-16 locknut.
Slide the snubber/tube assembly into the mount plate and fasten in place using the 1/2” Quick release pin.
Adjust the snubber so that you have a 1/2” gap on an automatic equipped car or 1/4” if you have a manual equipped car. Adjustment can be made several ways: a. Using a hacksaw, cut the rubber snubber the required amount. b. Remove the quick release pin and slide the snubber holder in or out of the mount plate.
The snubber tubes are drilled to allow you adjustments in 1/4” increments. This is accomplished by removing the holder tube, rotating it a quarter of a turn and re-installing it. Note:The snubber tube may be too long on lowered vehicles. It may be cut down using a hacksaw or reciprocating saw to make a better fit.
Lower the vehicle to the ground and road test.
